sci (@SimonHayterUK) reported@2810jeremy @BROKENBRITAIN0 It's not the TV set we pay a license for here in the UK, it's any broadcast, BBC, ITV, CH4, CH5 and Freeview, including on-demand BBC iPlayer. You do not need a license to play games, dvds, most of netflix prime etc, that's why so many are cancelling it, we are paying for ****.

William Poel (@wpoel) reportedWhat happened last night? Mon aug 3? Freeview on band 4 uhf just stopped in the cm3 area. The tropo map was a bit messy, a d there was very little sporadic e showing. The blackout was total but it's all back now. Are you aware of any transmission failure? However a crucial Star Trek Enterprise episode on Sky mix at 11:00 p.m. failed to record, and retrieving it requires a Paramount subscription! @FreeviewAdvice

Travis Parkins (@ASouthen91055) reported@Luke_Jahn_ I am wondering how prepared you are for prison life. internet access is strictly limited. In cell tv is basic Freeview. That does include Channel 4 so Naked Attraction can help while away the lonely evenings.

smoking the phonicvirus (@4doorsmorepaws) reported@codfish246 yuhh i think we had freesat cause of the awful freeview signal, my nan had the exact same box lol (and my grandma had the exact same telly!) upstairs we had a freeview telly and someone had to stand and wave the portable aerial around a bit to get a clear picture

Essex Baldy (@darrensharp73) reported@TalkTV @cjsnowdon @iancollinsuk I don’t necessarily believe a sub model would work, but as an initial step they should require subscription-based logins at least for their TV and web-based services (radio maybe less practical). Maybe just have SD broadcasts on Freeview and require streaming for HD due to practicalities (Sky shouldn’t be an issue). This way those who don’t pay (for a license) will find it hard to view, and it would also cut off more overseas users who view without paying.
