@valis64 @AndyWoodturner My mum's got a Sky Q box and has no clue how to use it apart from turning it on and flicking through the channels (not using the guide) 🙄 Problem is, she likes a lot of the Sky channels, otherwise I'd have had her back on Freeview by now.

  • carmadchris Chris (@carmadchris) reported from Hazlemere, England

@LlamaBusiness @skytv Bailed on them last year, never looked back Unless you live in the sports channels, look at what you get for your £, then see what would be free on freeview/freesat & what is on other services like Netflix

So now I have Virgin requesting their Hub back (no problem)… and telling me to disconnect the co-axial cable from their socket and cover the socket with a cover. Urm I can’t do that or I’ll have no Freeview signal.

  • misskristinruth Kristin Plant (@misskristinruth) reported

@MammaTort It is a streaming service- I think a £5 a month. Really should be on Freeview but I don't think the new series will be on yet.

  • gocycling21 gocycling2 (@gocycling21) reported

@prodnose I'm going back to Freeview so I don't have to pay virgin for their lousy expensive service. Get my broadband from someone else now as well

  • twarrestrial r (@twarrestrial) reported

@rugbyleagueontv the SD on freeview is poor, the better quality on the laptop is good

  • aljwatson Alex Watson (@aljwatson) reported

@send_it_baby @MartinSLewis Why would the BBC become a subscription service? Which other public services should be optional subscriptions? How do you make the radio a subscription service? What about people who watch the BBC through FTA Freeview boxes? How do you paywall that? Why would you even want to?

  • johnlync John Lynch (@johnlync) reported

@cloudsteph Freeview all the way! 🤪 Why pay for telly? I got Freeview+Saorview during lockdown and have never looked back.

  • RsKelv Kelvin R. Smith P&J Project (@RsKelv) reported

@otivar55 Most people will probably steer clear of @AJEnglish (Freeview CH 235) and never see this remarkable 4-part documentary. Hopefully, it will be allowed to be screened on UK mainstream TV.

  • phoebemonkey Ruth Mutch 👩🏻‍🦽 (@phoebemonkey) reported

I have a suspicion the Freeview engineer who came to “fix” my connection a while ago is responsible for this madness. He spent hours swopping around cables. I couldn’t check what he’d done because the cables are inaccessible to me (and the Virgin Hub was out of reach!)

  • joshua_drummond Bird Hat Grifter (@joshua_drummond) reported

So yeah, if you have Christian family who have been rabbitholed by conspiracy nonsense, be aware that there’s a pipeline of garbage being beamed out to God knows how many people on Freeview

  • raspberrytalk AKA The Raspberry (@raspberrytalk) reported

@GrandadAlbert @BBCNews don't drink, don't smoke, don't have sky or any subscription rubbish, just freeview, can't afford take-outs. Disabled and wife is my carer. We can't afford to turn the heating on or eat properly. So, ... next bunch of stupid suggestions?
