@Mark0Connell @Paul_Burgin Here's a suggestion that will make the @BBC more popular here: Sort out the Freeview signal so it's watchable in hot weather. Here in London the signal is terrible to non existent at the height of summer. Alternatively make the BBC issue refunds for services not delivered.

@CalElcombe @zsk And what happens to the national broadcasting infrastructure when it's not being paid for anymore? No Freeview for starters. If a transmitters fails no-one will fix it too.

  • Ems1965 Emma (@Ems1965) reported

@Ian_gm_F @bbcpress You conveniently forgot to mention the radio stations, world service, website with free access to a whole range of educational resources for children, funding and upkeep of freeview infrastructure

  • Nicolosobell27 Nicola R. 🎶🐰💙x (@Nicolosobell27) reported

...it hasn't helped. Our transmitter is Bilsdale (where there has previously been a fire) but all freeview support we go on says we should be receiving 140 channels. Any ideas? #freeview #BBC1

  • HelloPalendrome Hannah Jones Design (@HelloPalendrome) reported

@rach0907 @LlamaBusiness Virgin's dreadful for price hikes alongside declining service. Scrapped it all when we moved, can get everything we want on Freeview/Prime/Netflix/iPlayer. Then got a Humax box so we can record stuff if we want to. EE's internet is brilliant for the price too

  • ClarkKe01956140 4 seasons, 12 trophies, history makers!!! (@ClarkKe01956140) reported

@Fionasstalker Why not list all the services from ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and the numerous free services on freeview. At worst the same quality but IMO better than bbc offerings

  • FabBuxy Buxy (@FabBuxy) reported

@FreeviewAdvice I haven’t had any freeview digital TV since the #bilsdale #mast fire. Yesterday & this morning freeview was working - now no service again.

  • coaldragon 🌿 Jen 💐 °*•. Wear a Mask (@coaldragon) reported

@MattWWoolwich The problem is that the licence fee enables us to watch TV via Freeview. A reasonable model might be to include all that in general taxation. That way it would be funded fairly instead of the current unfair flat rate. Won't happen under the Tories though.

  • IanTrem Ian Trembirth (@IanTrem) reported

@peacekpr79 @davidschneider The BBC also pays for the Freeview network of transmitters, the way a lot of viewers still get their TV signal.

  • SteveMillman Steve Millman (@SteveMillman) reported

@GizmoWalpole @sima_kotecha @lewis_goodall So the end of BBC education programmes. Along with lots of the other non profit making services cos we’ll be left with only the popular stuff - about right for a populist government. Plus, who is then paying for the Freeview network. It works because of the way it is funded
