@gabyhinsliff I really don't get what the issue was. Everyone's got access to Freeview, there's 90 other channels to watch if, you don't want to watch coverage of something. It's less stressful to use your remote than complain. Not a Royalist just not that bothered.

Hi @itvstudios @channel5_tv @Channel4. What happened? Poor DVB signal yesterday then it stopped. Still no channels 3, 4 & 5 on freeview (ch26) today but HD is ok. LB of Havering isn’t the most difficult to broadcast to.

@Macsgfbaker 100 channels on freeview, noone has traditional terrestrial TV anymore, shut down years ago. Most people moaning would never watch BBC live anyway, like you point out....its 5 channels only, oh and only 3 shopping channels out of that 100

@whophd @garethklose Yeah, the standard EIT (think I've got the technical term right there) 7 day EPG data is still being transmitted by all Australian networks last I checked. If the green button was a MHEG thing, then it was terminated on 24/11/2017 along with the rest of the Freeview EPG service.

With all this wall to wall coverage crap of a dead man by @skynews and @bbcnews Netflix and Freeview's viewing figures must be the highest they've ever been.

@olibradley @DAaronovitch @stephenpollard Except Channel 4, all the Freeview stations and every on demand service yes, and plenty of commercial radio stations.

@peakajy @DPJHodges BBC1 only had a 6% drop in viewing figures on Friday night. Amazing, considering it was just a one subject news broadcast. There are loads of options on Freeview. There is Netflix & Amazon Prime and even 📚 instead for those who “never watch the BBC anyway” for just a few hours.

@Lapsedcat Yeah, BBC2 never did a ten minute freeview or anything. See also, Pan’s People, Carry On films, Confessions films. It was worse for the Victorians, getting all hot under the collar over a piano leg.

@hmd_db @TraceyRBurns @michaeljswalker Can you not read? Having no internet is not a barrier to choice, nothing poor about it... No, I don’t mind, it’s their editorial choice and if I didn’t want to watch I could watch something else (I did, on Freeview, not streamed) have a fine evening, not watching the BBC ;)
