@FreeviewAdvice Is there some sort of problem with Freeview in southern England? For weeks now, I’ve had certain channels breaking up and some even going missing completely after retuning. I have both 4G and 5G filters and had no problems at all with transmission until recently.

@WhoPotterVian I never had an issue with ITV Hub but ITVX just crashes all the time. Took their advice eventually and uninstalled it and reloaded it and now it doesn't work at all. And it works on less devices than it did before - even on a new Freeview Play device bought just last year

@Randominium @Daodaoldn @ajcdeane A TV Licence covers you to: watch or record TV on any channel via any TV service (e.g. Sky, Virgin, Freeview, Freesat) watch live on streaming services (e.g. ITVX, All 4, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Now, Sky Go) use BBC iPlayer*. This applies to any device.

@space_librarian @libmichelle We never went above BBC Four on Freeview, unless it’s a hop to Cbeeies - thank god that worked. Our home-made internet was actually better than the BT provider, but our booster aerials were in the church spire and the pub… which made Teams calls weird in lockdown

@KevinPMeagher @BriW74 It's 'The Eagle Has Landed', on BBC Four, right now, and i-Player for a few weeks' - complete with Donald Sutherland and ludicrously bad 'Irish' accent. No sign of 'Where Eagles' Dare' on any of the Freeview channels for the next while.

@Dnewton99886451 @ColinBrazierTV Unfortunately you still need a licence if you watch Freeview. I don't even have that. I don't have an aerial & just have the Netflix, Prime, Disney & YouTube apps on my tv. I have the Apple TV app atm as I get it free with my phone contact til mid April but I never even watch it.

@Broadcastnow Poor move @ITV @ITVX - the channel still rates relatively healthily and in Freeview homes especially is serving an audience who may not have access to reliable online streaming (not that ITVX is a reliable online streamer!)
