@Asher_Wolf Oh hell. The nz freeview did this and its had a huge impact on my dotty old aspergers auntie. The tv app logs out occasionally, usually at an UI refresh and then she'll once again have no access to news and weather until whānau drive to her city to fix it.

@WinterfellT Whatever anyone’s views of the bbc, no one should have to pay the corporation a compulsory tax for the right to watch live tv, especially live tv on non bbc channels. It’s time for the bbc to become either a commercial freeview, or subscription, service.

  • kylie_sen50 Kylie (@kylie_sen50) reported

Scrubs and Gilmore Girls. And One Tree Hill. The shows I loved as a teenager (we had analogue to I was 14, then freeview, dial up internet to a similar age, then very poor broadband. It took like x3 the length of a video on YouTube to load. No data pick up & almost no signal).

  • CheritonWeather CheritonWeather CT19 (@CheritonWeather) reported

@LBC @darrenadam I hope not.....It's sad that so many people are happy to pay for subscription services, but not a license fee for what is essentially a good service via Freeview and Freesat. I refuse to line the pockets of companies like Sky, Netflix, Amazon etc

  • JoolzZenda Joolz (@JoolzZenda) reported

Great time for my TV to lose the freeview signal 🙃 #Eurovision2021

  • IMTobybrown Toby Brown (@IMTobybrown) reported

@lbc the bbc Is a good thing if it needs a new funding model it should be general taxation like every other public service. Subscription won't work because of freeview and also the radio networks can't go on subscription either
