  • back_the_BBC Back the BBC 📺📻📡📱 (@back_the_BBC) reported

John Whittingdale leaving @DCMS may be bad news for BBC. He had ruled out a subscription model for the BBC as being technically impossible on Freeview (to replace the licence fee). He was also known to like Tim Davie's reforms of the BBC

  • AaronLancs Aaron Read (@AaronLancs) reported

@MarkandDrama The moment that the BBC loses the central funding from the LF is when I predict that Freeview and Freesat are doomed to death*. Yet these idiots don't seem to realise that the UK's main PSB is the core to the "free" stuff they guzzell down. *I'd give it five years.

@OwenJones84 Never actually looked at this,Owen, though I am reasonably discerning to avoid nearly everything from non Freeview stations in particular those from Aus. billionaires. I find it difficult enough to pay for BBC license fee each year.

@jssnowden @rudadu57 No, I think it is on one of the Freeview channels but I have never switched it on.
