Mike (ex-a516digital) (@a516digital) reportedOn this day in 2012, S4C's original HD service "Clirlun" closed down. Its Freeview slot was taken over by C4 HD. In 2016, S4C relaunched its HD outlet, this time simply known as 'S4C HD'. The BBC Three consultation revealed S4C HD is earmarked for a return to Freeview soon.

MPEG4 actually allows broadcasters to fit more channels on a multiplex. As a result, Sky News at 704x576 can be done at similar bitrates as a 544x576 service on UK Freeview. You may remember Sky once wanted to launch...

However the signal is weak regardless of how many times you manual tune etc. 1 million homes lost Freeview son9f course 1 million cancelled their license when TVL said no refunds, yes they expected us to pay for
