My Freeview signal is dropping out at the same time as my fibre broadband decides 1.6Mbps is acceptable. I know what it is. It’s Ann Widdecombe’s black-ops squirrels out for revenge 🐿

Freeview and radio services in North Yorkshire and Teesside have been affected by a complete loss of service at Bilsdale transmitter. Services fell off air at 1:26pm this afternoon. Viewers are advised not to retune.

@Claire_Pickard @sueashton3000 Many residents in Sunderland & along the Durham Coast also receive Freeview Channels from the Bilsdale transmitter. The fire is also likely to have knocked out about 30 relay stations, which "feed" on signals from Bilsdale. I wouldn't like to climb up the transmitter to fix it!

Over 3 hrs I've spent trying to figure out why the Freeview side of my BT box lost all the channels with no signal. Stripped wires removed plugs...checked other TVs ...only to finally find out the local transmitter is on 🔥.. not happy.....bedtime.....😠😠

@BBCNEandCumbria I live on the north side of the river Wear in Sunderland and my tv signal came from that transmitter. I've retuned both my tv and freeview box but the alternative signal isn't as strong and has interruptions to it.

Secret life of the zoo is back at 8pm only i cant watch it as the stupid bilsdale mast decided to have a fire 😡😡😡 and knock freeview out

Hi @JohnLewisRetail - my mum has been without her broken freeview box since the end of June and no update. It’s with the manufacturer apparently. But her statutory rights mean she’s entitled to a replacement/ refund and her contract is with you. Really poor service.

Hi @FreeviewAdvice, I live in the North East of England (Middlesbrough) and my Freeview went off but when I ran another scan it's only found 34 channels when I once had over 150? My signal appears to have dropped also. Most of the 34 channels are unwatchable due to pixels. Help?

@f1redfive Hi Alex. Are all your Freeview channels off? I put Ch4 on 2.10pm to watch Countdown 🕛 & every channel No Signal ! so, tried switching TV off & on mains.. No Signal. Then got Freeview pocket TV out.. No Signal ! Luckily old Sky box in bedroom still shows free channels
