    @itsGower @FionaMc79461755 @bosdovja92 Yes you do!!! absolutely need a TV licence to watch or record live TV on any channel or service, including Sky TV, Virgin Media, Amazon Prime Video, ITV, Channel 4, or free-to-air channels on Freeview or Freesat.

    @GSpellchecker We’re not in a good tv reception area, and used freesat but the dish kept playing up. In desperation I tried an old, small and powered internal tv ariel that plugs directly into the tv and sits next to it, and we get a perfect freeview signal. Worth a go before spending loads.

    @GBPolitcs Why should I pay a tax for a service I choose not to use? If I choose Sky, TNT, Paramount, Disney, Netflix ect. I pay for it. The ones I don’t pay for (Freeview services) are funded by advertising. Frankly the public funding for C4 should be revoked too.

    Bit slow off the mark with this one. Thought I'd fire up the FreeView sat box but NOT WORKING because in April 2025 (AKA 'just recently Mr. Kiwi 🙄) is dead will not talk to 'new satellite'. So much for watching winter Olympics.

    @jaygrocott29 @DoctorWhoPN Wrong. The public service broadcasters are all gifted their spectrum and their advantageous position on the Freeview EPG. Road tax was abolished in 1937. Road building and maintenance is paid by general taxation. Revenue from VED just goes into the chancellor’s pot.

    @GBPolitcs Why is the BBC on Freeview?, it’s a free to watch service hence the name. But because the BBC use it they expect people to pay for a free service.

    @_DIGB Also I don’t watch any freeview. If you’re looking to get rid of yours they’ll contact you in the post I appealed and said I don’t use aerial or freeview no bbc or even iplayer an use WiFi/5g streaming apps like prime, Netflix, paramount bla blah so happy to help on that

    @LeeHurstComic Me. They’re probably just all on a different streaming service, but no way am I signing up for another one, just for one show. Pretty sure it’ll be a lame as The Walking Dead from season 7 onwards. 11 is too many; the energy is gone. I’ll wait till the whole lot is on Freeview.

    The 1970s : "Those were the Days" on Freeview : What really pisses me right off is most of the ******** spouting off total bullshite about the 1970s weren't even born so why don't they get a proper job and stop making themselves look like a superior *******.

    @RhianReads1 @richardosman On my Freeview box it is easy. Just ignore the channel buttons and go down to categories, then click on sport. All the choices come up there.
