    @a516digital The same with freeview, dispite the fact i cant get this service even after my best efforts, those that can should have all the hd at the start, i know theres less coming up when mux 7 closes, but its the way forward.

    Wee #Sushi 🍣 is listening intently @simonmayo ! Struggling to get @greatesthitsuk here in Glasgow, other than on app. 2 TV's, both with Freeview, 1 has major sound issues trying to play it.

    @Oldgitsville The disabled as nobody else makes programmes for them. Same goes for Welsh and Gaelic speakers. Also school kids who access BBC Educational resources for free at school/college & the poor/elderly who use Freeview would be screwed as the licence fee pays to maintain transmitters.

    @OldRoberts953 We very rarely watch BBC programmes- not much to interest us. It’s normally other freeview channels or at a stretch a subscription service.

    @LynseyAnneWhite @eamonngriffin An analogue TV can still show analogue pictures sent down the aerial cable by a video (vcr), satellite (sky,freesat,eutelsat), cable, or freeview box

    @LankyCarGuy Because Freeview transmitters have only a fixed number of frequencies they can broadcast a signal on. Each frequency can carry a number of separate channels, but that number depends on the quality. Reduce the quality and you can fit more channels (and more revenue) in.

    @utdfox We didn't have Sky and it was never shown on the Freeview channels. I did watch the Pokemon DPPT animes, Bakugan, Beyblade, Tokyo Mew Mew and Digimon Data Squad though.
