The Sony Movies channels on Freeview have been renamed e.g. “Great! movies action” and it looks **** in the TV guide. I’m quite annoyed. Being quite annoyed is more serious because gay

My Freeview signal is dropping out at the same time as my fibre broadband decides 1.6Mbps is acceptable. I know what it is. It’s Ann Widdecombe’s black-ops squirrels out for revenge 🐿

@MammaTort It is a streaming service- I think a £5 a month. Really should be on Freeview but I don't think the new series will be on yet.

@IWishIWasFunnyy @PIMC66 @RoboScorpion Nothing to do with Momentum - they support Starmer Your choice not to watch a documentary by a British producer with British contributors on British media (freeview) overseen by Ofcom has nothing to do with Qatar That's just a convenient excuse to keep your fingers in your ears

I thought Channel 4 HD regions were now A Thing but there are an awful lot of irrelevant adverts on the Ulster region Freeview feed. 🤔

So now I have Virgin requesting their Hub back (no problem)… and telling me to disconnect the co-axial cable from their socket and cover the socket with a cover. Urm I can’t do that or I’ll have no Freeview signal.

I have a suspicion the Freeview engineer who came to “fix” my connection a while ago is responsible for this madness. He spent hours swopping around cables. I couldn’t check what he’d done because the cables are inaccessible to me (and the Virgin Hub was out of reach!)

@afneil I've seen these on Freeview. Both low key, undramatic, no gimmicks and no inappropriate latter-day commentators popping up to give their spin, and yet so magnetic. Very much in the image of Thames TV's world class, The World at War. (If you've never seen, see before you die!)

@virginmedia @Spencer83809805 Virgin Media do not provide a reliable service. My brother has recorded some stuff from Forces tv on his freeview box and he can still watch them.

@jonrog1 @Blankzilla It was never the content, or really the ads that were the issue. It was the tech behind it. I don't know about cable boxes in the US, but set-top boxes for Sky and Freeview and most built-in TV guides and systems for getting to content were slow and awful.
