Hadn't realised rural Freeview was still so terrible compared to in metropolitan areas. I get 80 Freeview channels in Dudley nr Birmingham, Dad gets 21 in South Shropshire! And doesn't even get Sky News which I assumed was on Freeview everywhere.

Progress so far: washer is on, I'm working my way through a box of biscuits, finding all the concerts on Sky Arts Freeview & have loaded up instructions for my Miops that came 2 weeks ago (according to Amazon). Gonna be a slow-burner, but I'm getting there. Staying up till 8am.

@SkyNews why does the sound on your Freeview Sky News studio sound so bad? The presenter sounds like she is talking through a sock!

@RyanDrinkwater2 If the TV upstairs is receiving Freeview OK and is running off the same aerial, then it is likely the cabling/connections or splitter. Try a different coaxial cable, or try tuning in the working TV in on this room to see if the issue persists. Thanks.

@Deano230 @AlStewartOBE It could have developed with FTA broadcasters as Freeview later did. Other problem is it never recovered financially from Sky switching to free box offer.

Hey @BBCOne please sort out the sound on your HD channel. It’s bloody awful. Have to put the volume twice what it is on a normal channel. Also: Transmit ALL your regional channels in HD too. Sick of having to find another channel on sky / freeview to watch 21st century content

@salt_veins Instal FreeView on your phone so you can watch tele on it & some well fitting earphones plugged in to block out ALL the noise as hospitals are just SOOO NOISEY & problem solved. If the earphones fit snug, then it doesn't need to be loud. That's what I did. Hospital had free wifi.

Christmas eve - probably one of the worst days for the aerial on the chimney to **** up, leaving us with next to no freeview. Special thanks also go to the wankers @skytv for their appalling customer service as well. Believe in better? Well if that's the alternative, shove it.

@safewordthe2nd If you don't agree with bbc persian stance you are within your rights to stop paying TV licence (If you're in UK). As long as you don't watch LIVE TV through freeview or use BBC Iplayer you can #DefundTheBBC. You are not breaking the law. Cancel your licence.
