@yagiznizipli I’d say look for what features it says it supports. In the UK, I’d be looking for: - Freeview Play certification, for hybrid broadcast + broadband - DIAL support, for casting YouTube videos from phone - Some good (possibly native) branded apps included - Responsive UI - No ads

@MFC_Steve @LBC @HenryRiley1 It's on TV less than men's football and less than Emmerdale... You can just not watch it. I hate tennis but do I complain when we have multiple channels of tennis during Wimbledon? No. Nothing is being rammed down your throat. Freeview alone has 100 channels.

Movies on Freeview get worse and worse. They just had all the equaliser films on now it's all the films made with Jason Statham in them. Next it will be that awful actor John Travolta, then Bruce Willis then Arnold Schwarzenegger then Nicolas Cage who I can't stand.

One of my 5 year predictions: YouTube (free version) will subtly increase the duration of adverts and their frequency just like freeview tv has done over the years. I never watch normal tv but anytime it's on at a friends house or somewhere the amount of adverts is insane

@TalkTalk my elderly mother is having issues with her TalkTalk freeview box which she has had for approximately 5 years. How do we get it replaced for a newer version? Please help as she relies on tv. Symptoms are when changing the channel screen goes blank and box needs a reboot
