@_msec_ @giffgaff I switched from them precisely because of their poor EU roaming limits. Went to @iD_Mobile_UK and have never looked back.

.@giffgaff have generally been good (10 years+ a subscriber). For the past few days, I have been unable to send texts from my UK number. I had to go onto a forum to diagnose what I thought was a device problem. Reset my network settings (no help). And then back top the forum to find a coverage map. Ideally, giffgaff would send alerts to impacted areas so we are aware with this information. And, with connectivity being fundamental to everything we do in the digital world, communication should be treated as high priority as a burst water pipe or gas leak. This is why community-owned networks are so crucial. There is an extra level of care and concern when the issue directly impacts you.

@TroyByrneUK @Starlink Get an unlimited giffgaff sim or something else if the signal around you is okay. You can probably get something for around Β£20

I’ll never ******* forget when I first moved her and my dad took me to get a plan (I had my own device) I couldn’t believe it. Going from Β£15 a month unlimited everything on GiffGaff to $120 with Telus literally brought tears to my eyes.

Well, for some reason my phone didn't go off yesterday - and the signal was down to H+ instead of the usual 4G... was this a @giffgaff or @O2 problem in Thanet?

@gingerninja1974 @giffgaff It appears it’s the set up of the phone. Which for a emergency alert seems to be failing! You can only receve it if you enable the function in settings, you can only get it if your using a 4G of 5G signal. Not well thought out plan at all!
