@Pandamoanimum @O2 I had a major falling out with O2 in 2010 (after being with them for 15 years). Moved to Giffgaff (which ironically uses O2’s network) and never looked back. Nine years later, O2 are still chasing me for the money they say I owe them.

Emergency alert received by child on giffgaff, wife on EE but nothing for me on EE. All in the same room and both types of alert turned on for me in iPhone settings #emergencyalert

  • katesmith1674 katesmith (@katesmith1674) reported

@giffgaff I have and your connection tool has been saying the same thing since January, but it has been working it just comes up as not working because the 5g bit isn't operational and that's because you don't have 5g here

  • workerbee2013 Richard Marchewka (@workerbee2013) reported

@giffgaff @Laurape45036454 My wife didn’t get the alert in Oxenhope and neither did my daughter in London (both on Giffgaff). My phone, on EE, got it a couple of minutes early. I’d have to give them a call to pass on the alert in a real emergency. Come on giffgaff get your act together!

  • pink_fox Sophie Miller (@pink_fox) reported

@atomx_sp @KuntiePlopkins GiffGaff clearly the network of the Burner phone then? 😜

  • Yorksims John Woods (@Yorksims) reported

@kinson1964 @giffgaff That's a shame, the only other option would be to port your number to another network then back to giffgaff into a new account with a membername of your choice.A lot to do to get that name changed though.

  • AndyTaurus Andy (@AndyTaurus) reported

@giffgaff I have a nokia 3210 or something similar, did not get my UK emergency broadcast, should I be concerned?

  • RobertHGeorge Rob George (@RobertHGeorge) reported

Seeing reports that this might be a Three problem - but I'm on Giffgaff, so connected via O2

  • Idarrenhouston Darren Houston (@Idarrenhouston) reported

@sammwittings As far as I’m aware EE customers received however three and virtual mobile networks like giffgaff and virgin mobile customer didn’t receive this is a major failure yes there is customers and people that are vulnerable and relieved they may not have recieved this but others didn’t

  • willmill82 🍢🥙will🥙🍢 (@willmill82) reported

Thirdly! What network are you on? If you're on an MNVO (e.g. GiffGaff, Tesco Mobile etc please use the piggyback network if you know it)

  • M0KPH Phil - M0KPH (@M0KPH) reported

@citifax We moved from O2 to GiffGaff after their appalling service and frequent price rises. Same network, so no loss of the service you are getting.
