My life-admin day continues... and I am getting increasingly crotchety. Current status: explaining to @giffgaff that a data connectivity issue with my SIM is when I travel all over the country... and not just about whether or not there is 5G coverage where I live...

@LyonsScreech @LetsTalkZorro There is an easy solution though. At least the crypto part. Always use an authenticator instead of SMS. As for stealing the rest of your identity with your SMS codes? Well that's a little harder, but you could try using a network with no humans to social engineer, like @giffgaff

@steve228uk @SupercutsUK @ICOnews That might be your service provider. My partner is on Giffgaff and they ban texts to shortcode numbers and I don’t believe offer a way to in-ban sending texts to shortcodes. Assuming, it’s a shortcode number!

@giffgaff I know that's how you reply, as that's how you replied! I am suggesting that your email could have included the answer so that the customer got there faster. Instead you force your customer to find data services, name/password/login a portal to read it.

When a company who claims customer service sends you an email saying we have the answer but you have to log in to read it and then their servers time out you wonder if they’ve thought it through, looking at you @giffgaff
