    Can I please express my public frustration with @HostGator. Their customer service is ABYSMAL. They force you to do live chat, and the operators are completely useless. I have wasted all morning with FOUR different operators, all slow and clueless, and got NOWHERE. @HGSupport

    @HGSupport PS Your live chat operators are absolutely useless and could not help me with this simple request. I was on there for 20 minutes and the operator would constantly disappear for minutes on end, then come back with no information. I'm hoping you're better.

    @HGSupport @hostgatorindia My Shared servers Business plans's virtual memeory usage is almost 1 GB when my website is light weight, 100% optimized (uses <100mb normally) And your support has no solution other then 'optimize your site..' WTH!!!!!!!!

    @HGSupport The problem is, I haven't used FTP in years and not sure of my credentials. But my cPanel access didn't work so I tried to reset my password. And that new password still doesn't work with FTP.

    do many hosts block #SEO tools bots such as [email protected]? I'm with [email protected] and they do not allow it, I had to ask a whitelisting and have yet to see it working. It sucks to be told you have unlimited bandwidth while they decide to block whatever traffic they want.

    @troyhunt Bluehost is HostGator is Dream host and a few others. The worst security and most horrendously configured systems I've encountered in over 20 years of doing business and helping others do business online.

    Hey @HostGator when are you planning to offer free SSL certificates for all accounts? I have 6 sites and am planning to move to @SiteGround if I can't get free certs very soon. Don't want to pay $180. Have been a customer for 10 yrs and hate to move but will if no cheaper option.

    All of my websites were suspended by HostGator for phishing activity after being hacked. The hackers appear to have gotten in through an exploit in one of the Wordpress plugins. I need to wipe and reinstall everything, it will be down for a few months.

    Yet another great conversation with @HostGator this time with Rajesh. Their support used to be awesome; now it's gone downhill. I kept getting blamed for an issue that was of their own. CPanel would autoinject GoogleAnalytics causing 502 Gateway. After removing that, fixed.

    Never thought I'd find a customer service experience less helpful than Comcast but props to HostGator's live chat y'all really did it (shout-out to my boy Corey on the phone lines though, he took 10 minutes to solve the problem the live chat spent four hours on ✊)

    @1Man1Engine @a2hosting I was with Hostgator for many years. From my experience A2 is worse. Harder to get through to support. If issue is even remotely complicated they make you submit ticket. Major outages that last for hours. I was excited and thought it would be an improvement now I'm disappointed.

    @metalmolly @HostGator They know what they're doing. Same goes for renewals. You got cheap new customer price, then renewal prices skyrocket. Many hosting providers use these tactics to get more money out of their customers. How much did they want to clean it up? I've seen prices range $200-$1000.

    @metalmolly @HostGator That's a typical tactic. Once website has malware, they will offer SiteLock service as an upsell. Many hosting providers do that.

    HostGator sucks. Never use them. Always avoid them! A few of my sites on a shared account HAVE BEEN DOWN FOR WEEKS, They have avoided all messages. Worst company ever. Hope they shut down, get raided, sued... something bad needs to happen to them.
