Update: I walked to the nearest @HSBC_UK branch. Now in a physical queue for ‘Dave’, who is the only person who can help, apparently. Still on hold. Two hours and counting.

Over a month since @BritishGas took almost £700 out of my acc in THEIR error. BG told me to contact @HSBC_UK, which I did, & then BG had the nerve to decline the refund🥲 I just want my money back! @PregnantScrewed I have a 10mo & on mat leave can you help? I’m struggling!😭

Hi @HSBC_UK, there is quite a major problem with your customer recruitment strategy because both the "New customer" phone numbers on your website take you to a menu which can't be passed without your account number and online chat seems also only available to existing customers

@chrissiemanby @HSBC_UK Being on hold is, I find, a perfect way to do all my admin. My fave was being on hold to internet provider when the service was down and being told by 'hold voice' that many answers to common questions could be found online.

@LouiseMesma @HSBC_UK It's 2022. This kind of service is unacceptable and unfathomable. But it's a big org and therefore we're expected to accept it. Another example of a monolithic organisation unprepared to move with the times. Here's hoping the banking revolution continues without them.
