@HSBC_UK is by far the worst bank the UK has to offer. Customer service is non existent and you’ll be lucky to transfer 30p into your account without being wrongly accused of fraud. Their own staff would rather bank with an alternative and have even advised me to do so myself.

Oh and @HSBC_UK branch staff told me that woudn’t be a problem but then the entire process is automated and the computer system flat out refuses to accept a bank statement from @HSBC_UK as if so if you have nothing else tough ****

@Mephistophilles @HSBC_UK mate I’m not gonna lie I suggest you remove any involvement from hsbc immediately and move banks. They are hands down the worst bank in the uk and it’s not even close. I can’t even begin to put into words how bad my experience has been with them and I opened my account last week

@HSBC_UK I have said it before and I am sure I will say it again: you have the most customer-unfriendly fraud detection algorithm in the business. Do something slightly unusual? Spending a half hour on the phone with HSBC is your reward.

@dabernathy89 @chadloder There’s a new initiative here in the UK to fix that particular problem. @HSBC_UK has teamed up with a charity to provide a fixed address for homeless people so they can open basic bank accounts and receive debit cards.

@HSBC_UK leaves international students stranded without accounts. They don't pick up customer care calls, they force you to reapply for accounts because they have no system of reference numbers to share with their customers so they can't find an application.
