After a number of unbelievably frustrating issues & hours on hold, we managed to raise the right kind of complaint, got an allocated contact person and finally got a breakthrough. Keep complaining!

All branches except one (with limited hours) now closed. App chat useless with limited capability. Dreadful and hopeless (lack of) service.

DN 🧡 (@DjnQso) reportedSo after waiting since early June for @OPGGovUK to do their job and register the POA - I’m told by @HSBC_UK branch it will take “several weeks” to activate it on the donee’s bank account - by which time she will be in 🇨🇦. This is an appalling service for the vulnerable elderly!

Totally frustrating, staff can't override the computer and use their brains. They offered us £100 compensation - insulting, turned it down. They obviously don't want the custom of charities/CICs.
