@HSBC_UK Still ignoring phone calls, letters, emails so I have had to resort to the Financial Ombudsman. Any time now the automated response will tell me to email again. Truly shameful service.

@HSBC_UK how awful that customer service puts the phone down on me when I have a transaction on my account which is fraudulently debiting soon. Call me ASAP or facing the consequences if no available funds to pay for the bills

@HSBC_UK so i am supposed to drive a round trip of 35 miles to bank our village hall cash and cheques. We don’t even have a direct bus service to there. Our branch always has elderly customers in looking for banking assitance. Shame on you. @JulianSmithUK

@agw1437 @bouldie @HSBC_UK Well, a good business is profitable. And the clients are voting -with their money- that they don’t need as much staff and would prefer better services instead. The people who need extra help are just not a significant client base, so no incentive to help them.

@simonnread @HSBC_UK Banks have never pretended to provide a service. They do provide a service, that is their business. If not enough people use that service it closes, no business keeps open a loss making branch. If B&Q close a store, or Tesco, nobody moans. Why do they moan when a bank does?

@_Adam73521 @HSBC_UK And I've no problem with that if they were honest rather than talking about community, corporate responsibility and caring for their older/vulnerable customers when they don't really give a toss about those customers. I've not been in a branch for years and that's fine for me.

@agw1437 @bouldie @HSBC_UK I’m not suggesting the govt should run the bank, just give money so that customers who need extra help can incentivise firms to act in their interests more

@BBCBreaking "Less people are coming in our branches". Funny that, because every time I came in this year you told us you can't deal and I've to go online. Some people might be cynical! Awful. @HSBC_UK

@paullewismoney @HSBC_UK If you reduce opening hours and cut Saturday opening then you get less people using your service, weird.

@paullewismoney @HSBC_UK Sad day for lots of people who don't have smart phones or unable to use smart phones to access mobile banking

@RedCircleFP @HSBC_UK Banks used to pretend to provide a service. Now they're just one of the millions of businesses working hard to rip-off as many customers as they can. The business world driven by the unending race for profits over people is a horrible place that we've arrived at.

@simonnread @HSBC_UK At what point did any business enter into a contract that they had to keep a loss making operation open because a few people consider it a service
