@HSBC_UK Hi, I’m not a customer but recd a fake text allegedly from HSBC about a security alert on my account and to click on a link. Clearly fake, taken a screen grab of text if your fraud team are interested?

@HSBC_UK @financialombuds @BBCWatchdog My Grandma has rung me nearly in tears and explained the situation. What does not help matters is that my grandad is disabled and ill and cannot withdraw money he was In the branch as well but because he couldn’t hear the cashiers.

@HSBC_UK serious issues with customer services Not happy after spending an hour on hold and then getting cut off and being called back from a different number by someone allegedly from your fraud department he sounded like they were underwater! What a waste of my time and effort.

@HSBC_UK My son tried to open a student bank account today at HSBC. The process in branch was so painfully ridiculous despite him having multiple proof of ID & address. He left went to Halifax Bank & within 30 mins successfully opened a new account. HSBC lost a customer for life

@HSBC_UK They couldn’t to be fair as I’m sure it wouldn’t be appropriate I’m ex staff and understand that. Not happy to have to stand there for an hour, give up, drive to another branch and then get charged £17 to make the payment that telephone banking couldn’t help with! Not happy
