@HSBC_UK having a nightmare trying to open a credit card with you. Your online chat not being much help either - saying they'll come back to me and then not. Someone else telling me to click on something in my docs in online banking that's not there

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I had a frustrating call to @HSBC_UK because it's not in the UK!!! Could not understand the woman at foreign call centre and she couldn't understand what I needed. NOBODY WANTS TO HELP YOU ANYMORE!!! 'sort it yourself online'😡

@HSBC_UK @mouthwaite Surely too late...it shouldn't have got to this point and come to this. Banks too interested in making billions than a positive customer experience. It's not just banks tho, energy companies and mobile phone companies too. All the same, customers are just a number.

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK Cust service surveys always show its the new banks that do best. Older banks have complex stoneage IT which is creaking at the seams. New 'challenger' banks have far more efficient client focused IT . Oil tanker versus a rowing boat if that makes sense?

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I banked with them for years in fact i was a midland bank customer when HSBC bought it out I had a savers account which they recently closed I tried to open a current account and it was so hard to it was like they didn’t know who I was I went to @NatWest and open one in minutes!

@HSBC_UK @mouthwaite My secure key stopped working so I couldn't do anything online. Had forgotten my security question answers for telephone banking. So went into the local branch who couldn't have been more helpful sorted everything for me. If it hadn't been for them I may have considered changing.

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I was always with hsbc even when it was Midlands bank but a few years ago I left and took all my kids accounts with me was so fed up with same problem and moved to nationwide. If you join nationwide you get £100 for joining and the person who recommends you gets same. Bonus 👍🏻
