    @IBKR Thomas Peterffy is on @CNBC complaining how people won’t come to IBKR despite their advertising on the network. TVs dated for one thing. another is the website = bad. Been on hold for about 40 minutes. I have questions and sometimes talking to a human, is just ... nice.

    @averygrrl @IBKR IB's API is probably the worst part. You can't leave it running, it auto-restarts every day, and according to (hidden) rules they may force you to re-login daily (including the 2FA SMS). Meanwhile tons of charting software can consume that API, it's just a pain in the *** to use.

    @IBKR @LSKMSun Thats a pure lie! Support doesnt answer tickets and is NOT reachable via Chat or Phone at all. I'm more than 10 years with IB and it was never that bad.

    @averygrrl @IBKR On the RAM thing, nope, it's a software architecture issue. If you're technical, "java gc scalability performance" Google search will prob explain why. The more RAM you give it the slower it becomes

    @averygrrl @IBKR oh yeah that's the other **** YOU of theirs.. preemptively apply for permissions for absolutely every type of asset you may ever trade, minimum 24 hour approval period. I think they got in trouble with regulators at various points, and are much more cautious than alternatives

    @averygrrl @IBKR Their customer service is excellent.. when you get through. Accidentally learned a ton from random dudes in their customer support. The platform is ancient but very functional (give it 2 months before passing judgement). Plus the founder literally pioneered electronic trading

    @TrueInvested @IBKR im going to play halts with the account and short sell, but this was mostly my short account, now im gonna mix, when you play halts some days you are 500 up some days you are 300 down and some days you are 30k up, go to warrior trading and see urself lol

    @crayonmystic @IBKR Right on, that's too bad it eats resources. Does having 32/64GB of RAM ease anything up? What kind of data licensing issues? I noticed they wouldn't give me real-time quotes if I was logged in two places...

    @averygrrl @IBKR As for your deposit, I assume just like mine it is a rounding error. Getting priority support from them probably requires an account equivalent to the balance sheet of a small African nation state

    @IBKR I'm with IB and the recent months it's almost impossible to reach support. In urgent situations u stay hrs in queue when calling them. There is NO support. In my case it is an urgent situation and IB can't be contacted via chat or phone and support tickets are not answered at all

    finally decided to transfer my account stocks account from @IBKR to a different brokerage. good riddance! the worst brokerage I have ever seen. the worst part is, no one ever answered the phone when I reached out for help.

    @IBKR Hey IBKR — your leader went on CNBC to wonder why nobody uses you for margin loans. Tell him to call customer service and wait for 3 hours to get a live person to fix your mistakes. Not only will he not use you for margin, he will close all his accounts as I am now.
