Brokers never report retail $AMC holdings which allows ongoing fraud. IBKR Robinhood & other platforms continue to loan retail shares (that's part of the problem).

One, the gateway portal seems to have been created in 1998. Awful UI. Second, and the most pertinent was the death by auth codes.

joe (@Yogithebearish) reported@IBKR I find myself having to shut down and restart Traders Workstation twice a day. It is slow and a pain in the ***. I truly have had a terrible experience at IB. Good luck trying to talk to an actual person to get any type of support.

Jona (@JJLDoc) reported.@IBKR You guys are the worst. I set to sell my position with a limit and it passed that limit but no fill. I canceled it and made way lower limit but no sell. Tried many time with no fill. When the IV crashed I put a sell limit it got filled. So pathetic 🙄

Their insistence on you having your phone nearby to check their mobile app for some code every 10 minutes has caused me to give up each time. Awful experience and poor security design.

So I'm more of a swing trader - taking my time and watching for trends and opportunities. They should really teach this stuff in school, but teachers themselves are typically very bad with money anyway.
