  @STACKDOE @IBKR When did you last use it and what's your specific issue? It's way better than e.g. Revolut. My only issue is it can be slow at times, especially with updating totals but is quite flexible. Alerts need work for sure.

  @IBKR amazing trade terminal and fundamentals explorer! loving IB TWS, but if you lose you phone, the only way to restore your access to your account is to call them via phone and verify. no other options. customer support chat is only available for someone who logged in but you can't do that if your phone is stolen. they could have verified clients via google meet or Skype, but no, you have to call directly.

  @IBKR your service model is broken. I opened an account, got an account number, initiated funding it, and missed an email that the passport was grainy, was subsequently rejected and now can’t get in touch with a person.

  After being a customer for 20+ years at @IBKR, I’m seriously considering changing brokers. Earlier this week, I got a margin call notice, which made no sense because my account is fully funded. Turns out it was tied to an old secondary account I created years ago to sweep in some non-marketable securities — you know, those dregs we’ve all held onto that technically went to zero but still somehow show up in the account. (Don’t lie, you’ve done it too.) Anyway, this account has sat idle for years, and for some reason it incurred a $12 charge, which pushed the zero-balance account into a margin call. I’ve tried contacting @IBKR numerous times about this, but if you know anything about IB, customer service is not the reason you use them. I even wired funds into the account to clear it. They show they received it, but I can’t find any record of it being credited, and I suspect it may have been applied to the wrong account. There was a time when it made sense to use Interactive Brokers because they had aggressive commissions and access to hard-to-trade issues. But nowadays, that advantage is mostly gone. I’m seriously wondering why I would stay with them when such a minuscule issue has turned into such a major pain in the ***.

  Tried to use @IBKR app to buy some QQQ and it was such a bad experience. This is my first time investing so it was overwhelmingly complicated. I put in an application at @public but haven't heard anything back. Their app looks so much easier!

  If you're tired of spam calls and you don't want to pay for a streaming music service, just call @IBKR and sit on hold. You can stay connected for a long time before they answer and you won't receive any spam calls. win/win.
