@mcuban @RobinhoodApp @IBKR They are exposed because they/their(dealer)made a market and need to be able to cover it. So they have to purchase the shares at crazy high prices. Could leave them holding the bag. So they shut down. Calls lose value. Price drops. They cover cheaper.

@IBKR I joined IB because it was a professional brokerage, despite the warning that customers service was below average. Today they place account holders at the same amateur level as RH traders.I believed @IBKR was better. Today they proved me wrong.

@talesftf @bluenylon2 @IBKR I think these firms know that GME is a POS and they don't want their clients buying it in the hundreds when it could drop back down to the teens in a day. It went from over 500 premarket to as low as 112 today.

I've been very disappointed with @IBKR throughout the whole GameStop $GME situation and their communications regarding the trading restrictions. Plus, their platform is really slow with poor user experiencce. What's a good broker that is available for Europeans?

@xdrylandx @IBKR was not aware of that. Thanks for the tip. But even regardless of these restrictions (which judging from the backlash, should be removed soon) the customer support at RH sucks. And their trade execution speeds are not good. And it's become clear they're not getting any better

@IBKR This is not acceptable. IF securities broker/dealers felt they would get into trouble with continued trading, they should have gotten the exchanges to suspend trading, not an asymmetrical suspension affecting only your customers, whilst other players are able to cover their butt

@IBKR @mcuban If @IBKR has 9 billion in capital, what exactly is the motivation to restrict trading other than to manipulate prices to levels they need them to be at? Prices go where the market takes them -up or down - apparently some are more equal than others.
