@IBKR Since when you decided to play regulator? You did this without notice through your platform or email. Your customer service is down since yesterday. Yesterday morning option prices on amc/gme were blank for 15mins _before_ trading halted. This is why we pay commisions/fees for?

Wow, @IBKR CEO on #CNBC explaining that they halted $GME to protect themselves. Explaining it that if $GME kept going up, their partners would go bankrupt. They knew halting purchases would cause stock to go down. How is this legal?

Peterffy of @IBKR is on @TeamCavuto, giving a reason for blocking cash buys of GME stonk. If it continues a moonshot, but IB can’t get settlement from a cointerparty, IB will owe the difference to their long customer. IB doesn’t want the risk of a small firm that can’t deliver.

I've been informed that @CharlesSchwab allows trading on $GME of course no marginable and apparently only via limit order. But that's still better than @IBKR who has shut down trading completely. Looks like I'll be transferring my holdings over to @CharlesSchwab next week.
