    @IBKR Very frustrating.Received the migration email from IB but the link to follow up does not work and every time I have tried today to confirm, the website is giving me the same error message and I can not get to my master acct either as it is defaulting to the same page.

    @averygrrl @IBKR As for your deposit, I assume just like mine it is a rounding error. Getting priority support from them probably requires an account equivalent to the balance sheet of a small African nation state

    @averygrrl @IBKR Their customer service is excellent.. when you get through. Accidentally learned a ton from random dudes in their customer support. The platform is ancient but very functional (give it 2 months before passing judgement). Plus the founder literally pioneered electronic trading

    @PennyStock_es @IBKR Maybe because it has a stop sign on OTC Markets. Just a guess. They are in the process of getting current so stop sign will be down soon.

    @IBKR The reason more people don’t use IBKR is simple... the platform (TWS) is terrible and super antiquated / if you had a better client software you’d have more margin loans happening.

    @IBKR Just don't think you're going to trade OTC without serious headaches. Also, make sure you're OK with overseas Indian phone support that knows nothing.

    @IBKR FYI: The link in the latest email re. the change of accts to Ireland does not work but only goes to the site after login/pw and an error message. Been that way all day.

    @IBKR mother apparently received and/or acquired a Bad Batch! In Any Case: My 88 Year Old Mother does Not Write Letters, Nor Use A Computer Or Cellular Phone And I Have To Do All Of The Letter Writing For Her And In Many Cases, She Does Not Complain Right Away Because Of Her Age

    @averygrrl @IBKR IB's API is probably the worst part. You can't leave it running, it auto-restarts every day, and according to (hidden) rules they may force you to re-login daily (including the 2FA SMS). Meanwhile tons of charting software can consume that API, it's just a pain in the *** to use.

    @averygrrl @IBKR oh yeah that's the other **** YOU of theirs.. preemptively apply for permissions for absolutely every type of asset you may ever trade, minimum 24 hour approval period. I think they got in trouble with regulators at various points, and are much more cautious than alternatives

    @averygrrl @IBKR On the RAM thing, nope, it's a software architecture issue. If you're technical, "java gc scalability performance" Google search will prob explain why. The more RAM you give it the slower it becomes

    @crayonmystic @IBKR Right on, that's too bad it eats resources. Does having 32/64GB of RAM ease anything up? What kind of data licensing issues? I noticed they wouldn't give me real-time quotes if I was logged in two places...

    Worst customer service award goes to @IBKR !! On hold for HOURS last week and this week, 4 separate phone calls to simply covert a Roth IRA because their automated system has bugs. Now, they say "the deadline was yesterday". WTF???
