@IBKR I just noticed you now want to have biometrics in addition to the stupid app and the 2-step verification. Anything to make the user experience more complex and less user-friendly, I guess. How about a daily blood test and colonoscopy? Is that in the cards?

@IBKR I had a weird conversation today with a guy at IBKR Canada customer service. I was blocked from my account because I didn't want to download their app on my phone. The guy told me I couldn't use their service on a browser on my computer any more, unless I download their app on a smartphone, and that the change was supposed to make my account safer and more secure. That's the stupidest rationale I have ever heard. Being able to log into my account on two devices makes my account less secure. As I told the customer service rep, I turn my computer off when not in use, and the chance that someone can access my account on my computer when it is turned off and not accessible online (because it is turned off) is much smaller than the chance that someone could access that information from a smartphone. Typically people have their phones turned on and carry them around with them, and it's easier to hack into a phone that is connected to the internet while it is carried about, which most phones are. Generally speaking, people are more susceptible to main-in-the-middle attack vectors and spyware type behavior which may be from other apps installed on the smartphone. People in general are probably more likely to succumb to a phishing attack or malicious links on a smartphone because they are actively moving around and may be distracted or otherwise engaged in activities of their daily lives. Not to mention the chance of attacks due to the use of public wi-fi and other non-habitual networks. Anyway, I told the rep that it is obviously going to put me more at risk by downloading the smartphone app than by using my computer browser. He was having none of it. Unless I download the app, my account with IBKR is effectively useless. I either have to download the app or close my account.

Circle finally pulling back a bit today. But only down 5%. And $CRCL was the second-most actively traded stock last week at @IBKR according to @SteveSosnick. Trailed only $TSLA. And Circle has far more many net buys than sells than other popular stocks.

@IBKR What the hell is wrong with you? You're a terrible business partner. I do NOT recommend IBKR as a trading Platform to any of my trading friends. Your customer service is tye worst I've experienced in years. I guess legal action is my next step. You refuse to complete help tickets, your response time is unacceptably king taking weeks. Any attorney out there interested in a case against IBKR?
