@IBKR @SteveSosnick Thomas is asking “why isn’t everybody on our platform? […] I don’t know”. Well let me answer that for you: other brokers offer better service for their clients for the same $$ eg provide a useable, FAST trading platform. TradingWorkStation is a GARBAGE.

I helped someone sell their rip-off mutual funds and buy equivalent ETFs on @IBKR instead. Fees before: entry 5.00%, annual 2.01%, exit 3.00%, performance 10% #WTF Fees after: annual fee is 0.07%, buy/sell 0.05% Be careful with mutual funds offered by sales people at banks.

@LukeWolgram @puppyeh1 @IBKR Depends, when delisting occurs you are liable for the margin rate + cash consideration until shares are cancelled. In 'uncoverable' events margin rates can get to ridiculous 1000%+ levels, so people cover shorts, stock goes up above 'fair value' i.e. longs sell, so rates go down.

@RayTL_ @IBKR if you get portfolio margin account with IB you can use their pre borrow service and pay a fee to pre borrow before open, may give them time to find the shares early and hold them for you. ive set it up but not used it it yet...

@hyperconvexity @IBKR Can't possibly be as bad as @CharlesSchwab app. Took me 27 minutes (!!!) to execute a spread trade the other week which cost me almost $1000 in the time to get it done. The most glitchy, slow, unreliable app ever. In case you were looking to change...look elsewhere.

@IBKR & @saxobank are 2 of them. I'm pretty confident there are much more if not majority.They open FX & beta hedging positions against clients' assets and use that to drive down the price.Until you fix the system #DRS is going to be our number one choice. We don't need T+2! #GME

@SStayathomedad @IBKR The open/closing price of each candle should line up with the open/closing price of the previous candle. Otherwise what the chart is saying is that the price randomly teleported up or down in the 0 time between candles. Just an observation :)

Recently moved to @IBKR and it seemed like a great broker but damn man I’ve literally lost money because orders I try to sell don’t fully submit and then when I check my portfolio I realize I still have the positions and I’m down because I thought I sold 30 mins ago!!!!

the @IBKR has the money to throw payment for order flow under the bus (cuz they want you to pay them commissions, which is stupid) but they dont have the money to build a brand new trading platform...
