TruthFreedomPeace (@TheLepsGold777) reported@SOBRBC @IBKR If you got the "missing libxcb cursor library" error during installation,try using Synaptic Package Manager and search for libxcb-cursor0 and install that and then the IBKR Desktop install should work.

joe (@Yogithebearish) reported@IBKR I find myself having to shut down and restart Traders Workstation twice a day. It is slow and a pain in the ***. I truly have had a terrible experience at IB. Good luck trying to talk to an actual person to get any type of support.

Strategic Degen (@StrategicDegen) reportedI lost about $5k yesterday due to liquidation. I tried moving $5k to @IBKR, but it failed despite having cash in my checking account. I don’t blame anyone; this is part of the game. Losing $5k after locking in $65k gains last month is insignificant. I always ensure I have enough buying power and SMA. My mistake was opening a large $HIVE.NE short put that eroded most of my buying power as collateral. Even though it will only use half of that collateral for margin maintenance, it used full cost as requirement until assignment. Was it risky? Maybe I was set to lock in $5k from that play yesterday if the price didn’t drop. The lesson is to avoid selling short puts that erode buying power. Buying shares is better on margin. Next week, I’ll have more buying power to buy back $EOSE, average down on $HIVE, and buy $KEEL (hopefully below $5 when Asia gets crushed Sunday and overnight due to leverage). I optimized my tax lot for $EOSE to ensure as part of that liquidation, it took out shares that had gains instead of FiFO or LILO. This way I work around wash sale if I buy back shares within the next 30 days.

Meanwhile I've had to watch my main pick go up 70%. I've reached out to support, wasn't helpful. Was told 2-4 weeks for a response on my followup ticket.

I called because I was having an issue, and they told me there is no one to speak to by phone that I must file a ticket on the app. I did so, and it says it could take weeks for a response to the matter. Weeks?!
