@MrnllMtt @IBKR last week for atleast 8-10 minutes I could not do any trades on TD even to cover shorts. Weird if IBKR also had issues executing? Or was it just pages loading?

@MrnllMtt @IBKR The margin rates are quite good, and that's very important for cost control on spreads. I don't really understand why they charge so much less, but I'm not complaining. Service seems decent too. Schwab doesn't want to deal with your business with under $250k cash

Followup from chat with @IBKR representative: "Apologies, this is a known technical issue and the developers are working on the fix" regarding options quotes. So... just wait I guess?

@ChartLegend424 @Pluto4life_S @IBKR I've been with IBKR since 2008, their market access and trading interfaces/software are very good for the price. Their CEO also made a point of not piling into interest rate risk when they were at historic lows. Tbh just sticking to a 100% margin requirement wasn't all that bad.

@IBKR is totally broken right now, option chains aren't working. Can't open, can't exit trades. If you had overnight positions from last week, you just better pray Market doesn't do anything crazy. If only @TDAmeritrade had Fills outside market hours ... #IBKR

@DeBearishBull @IBKR @RobinhoodApp You're right the UI is awful but functional for ibkr. I actually don't use the trader Workstation tws. I just use the website for buying stock selling cover calls and cash secured puts. And I also buy some Canadian and Aussie stocks as well

@atc6955 @IBKR I traded GameStop during the big squeeze and luckily didn't have any problems in realizing the gains. Actually, I've never had any problem at all to open/close positions, neither on IBKR nor on the previous broker. This is the first time, and since I'm short it was dangerous.

@MrnllMtt @IBKR Also, I saw one other tweet about this data issue but couldn't tell if it was just B/A not showing up but some trades still going through. Immediately wondered if any badly-programmed trading bots might've egregiously borked a portfolio due to acting on bad data.

@IBKR extremely disappointing that I was unable to manage any of my trades this morning and also unable to see any bids and asks. Trading blind and only option being a market trade - with no bid/ask despite paying for market data is poor service.
