@IBKR Your chairman explained the issue with large option trading. So why again can I not buy a with a fully funded and settled cash position? There is no issues or risks involved for IBKR or the clearing house, nor is it to protect your customers. This is just manipulating the market.

@Bernat_Huguet @IBKR It still makes no sense to me that I need 100% margin on a long position. I have a cash account and when I tried to buy some it said I needed to switch to a margin account. Why? If I wanna burn my own cash doing stupid buys that's up to me.

@IBKR so your opinion is that it is bad for independent traders to stand up and fight with their money against institutional investors who short stocks, but it is perfectly fine for institutions to borrow 150% of the float hoping to make a killing by taking OUR money.
