Purely off the work & investments that go into #MentalHealth awareness, @ITV as an #institution could have sent out a strong message by sacking him rather than allowing him to save face by quitting.

He became his own worst enemy moving from challenging interviewing to just outright ranting. Susanna deserves a medal, Alex gave us an insight today as to how the rest feel....

@Chrissy2k2 @ITV Thats the major problem with TV, ratings seem to stand for more than morals. I would have had a great deal of respect for GMTV bosses if they had sacked him, I'm just glad Alex had the guts to stand up to him.
