There is only so much money to go around. And analysts have said that advertisers would love to be associated with quality BBC programming.

I have no issues with Sky, ITV, ITN, Channels 4 or 5, et al. Whether I watch them or not is my choice, as it is with the BBC. However, unlike the latter, they don't insist that I fund them. They don't have courts to protect them. They stand or fail on their own.......
