@davidyelland @BBCNews @ITV Problem is as different economies are...different, you cant realistically compare them by reducing to one factor. Service economies like ours are not the same as agricultural or manufacturing economies. Currency fluctuations also make comparison meaningless. Axe grinding.

If the TV viewing public don't like Clarkson, they won't watch his shows, ratings will decline, and ITV will find someone new. If they keep watching it means they like him.
