@GBPolitcs @ITV Are they british citizens? What courses did they study? Why is it often more financially secure to be on benefits especially sick benefits than it is to work? Something needs to change before more people think fck it il go on the sick.

@GBPolitcs @ITV also “It said 707,000 graduates aged 16 to 64 were out of work and claiming one or more benefits in 2024” so obviously misleading headline of “graduates” suggests young people when it’s actually the entire population of university graduates

@GBPolitcs @ITV Under Labour it pays more to do this than get a job. Why go to work for less money?

@GBPolitcs @ITV The actual ITV article says 400,000 are on Universal Credit (multitude of reasons, one of which is that they can’t get a job) and 240,000 cannot work due to health reasons. Disgraceful journalism as always

@GBPolitcs @ITV Half truth that. 400,000 of the 700k were claiming Universal Credit, while only 240,000 are claiming benefits for sickness. Also... that's such a small minority that it's close being a non issue

@GBPolitcs @ITV This is false, there are over 700,000 graduates claiming benefits but only 240,000 that are saying they’re too sick to work.
