Purely off the work & investments that go into #MentalHealth awareness, @ITV as an #institution could have sent out a strong message by sacking him rather than allowing him to save face by quitting.

@itsmattchin @ITV I don’t work for ITV but would contribute towards Mattchins salary just to get him on this show for a day!

I once met @piersmorgan whilst doing a day on @GMB as part of an @ITV scheme. He asked me where I was from and said he was sure we would work together in the future. That didn't happen. Yet. Fast forward to an awards event where I winked at Piers to say hi. He said 'Hi Andre".

@ITV Proving they are part of the problem through not sacking this guy from @GMB

Also, it ain’t snowflake lefty cancel culture - @ITV spent literal millions on a MH campaign in the wake of Caroline Flack and Piers spouting off meant he didn’t align with their corporate values. If I said that at my work - I’d get the ******* sack. Soooo byeee #PiersMorgan

Unpopular opinion but @ITV should have fired Piers much like they should have with Ant But they are too weak to fire their golden boys. Rewarding bad behaviour normal people would never work again over.

"@itv is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few hours have been for @piersmorgan. "The issues raised, particularly that of being a ****, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed privately."

Good riddance @piersmorgan, the less you are on TV, the better for a nation being subjected to your awful views and opinions. Well done @ITV and @GMB for letting him go. At least he has money and a job writing nonsense so he won't be in any financial trouble.

But hold on... Piers left when @itv should have SACKED HIM! Say he didn't leave, would they have allowed him to show up at work tomorrow after his diarrhoea mouth! They would! Itv are totally responsible aswell! All they care about is ratings!
