    @MelbourneCarrie @Choose__Again @ITV @jessphillips @YvetteCooperMP It isn’t a women versus men issue. It’s a does your party have the numbers issue - and the Lib Dem’s are a small minor opposition party and don’t merit equal treatment to Labour. LDs are punching above their weight and trying to leverage feminism to do it.

    @Peston @ITV And if it is possible now , why did the Tories indulge themselves in a protracted election involving fewer than 200,000 voters during the summer, when the economic problems were worsening? #GeneralElectionNow

  • dickonb dickon bevington (@dickonb) reported

    @Peston @ITV Arguably, with the unrevealed paymaster for the Pied Piper of @iealondon who led Truss and Kwarteng by their noses into the radical free-marketeering budget madness, this wouldn't be so new a problem as you suggest.

  • MarkDutton1980 Mark dutton (@MarkDutton1980) reported

    @Peston @ITV The Tory dictatorship have caused all these problems, a general election must happen. The only vote that matters now is the British citizens

  • dave43law dave lawrence 🐟🐟🐠 (@dave43law) reported

    @Peston @ITV CCHQ outlawed electronic voting for that very reason during last leadership contest. How that can now not be an issue just a matter of weeks after outlawing it. Either there was no issue last time and they wanted an excuse to prevent people changing their mind or they don't care

    @Peston @semperflebilis @ITV Terrible idea.
