The government has done themselves a lot of damage by not appearing on ITV. After all whatever Piers says if they answer questions truthfully what is their problem. The main suspect has cleaned up the broken glass and lamps before forensics are even put in to check, after the police visit. And that's just one of the many gaping holes in what should happen.
