Microsoft Teams Issues Reports

Latest outage, problems and issue reports in social media:

  • movito Fredrik Matheson (@movito) reported

@joenatoli @jeffsussna @MicrosoftTeams Yes, it could be very good. The new meeting experience is better than the former, at least now a Teams meeting is in a separate window, and chats can be opened in new windows. But not apps, teams, docs (Slack has this issue too, painful). Lotus Notes had tabs. Come on, people!

  • narcoustic Louis (@narcoustic) reported

@movito @MicrosoftTeams Ok fine lesson learnt: Double check share settings for next time before call to make sure it works. New problem: there's absolutely no way to change/check share settings without actually joining a meeting .. *facepalm*

  • julesTii Jules (@julesTii) reported

@MicrosoftTeams we have had no end of problems today, people not being able to log in, not being able to re-join after being put into breakout rooms. Can you shed any light on the issue? Thanks

  • NathanFGao Nathan Gao (@NathanFGao) reported

@movito @MicrosoftTeams We may be talking about the same thing, but I didn't think that screen has a Fitt's problem so much as a IA/hierarchy problem. If I understand the stance of the UI correctly, it's anchored around the audio method selection and not ability to start/stop video/audio.

  • Worrelpa Phil Worrell #Re365 Regarding365.com (@Worrelpa) reported from Nyon, Canton de Vaud

@Microsoft365Pro @MicrosoftTeams How about not creating Teams in different ways and fixing the Teams admin center. It does have a lot of issues.

  • EXFO_Todd Todd Dover (@EXFO_Todd) reported

@MicrosoftTeams It would be better if every time I use video, it wouldn't disconnect my wired LAN connection causing me to have to reboot everything. WebEx and Zoom don't have this problem.

  • vtgrace1 grace (@vtgrace1) reported

@MicrosoftTeams I am able to log in on mobile but not online/desktop. online says it can't find my account and desktop is giving error caa7000a. sometimes I am able to get through to the verification window but never get a text/call. help?

  • NathanFGao Nathan Gao (@NathanFGao) reported

@movito @MicrosoftTeams We may be talking about the same thing, but I didn't think that screen has a Fitt's problem so much as a complete IA/hierarchy problem. If I understand the stance of the UI correctly, it's anchored around the audio method selection and not ability to start/stop video/audio.

  • MadCapProf Janardhanan S🇮🇳 (@MadCapProf) reported

@MicrosoftTeams Files section of MS Teams not accessible from Windows machine. But, ppl on a Mac or Android facing no issues. WTF is this?

  • movito Fredrik Matheson (@movito) reported

@narcoustic @MicrosoftTeams Agree that we should come prepared, but how are people to know that macOS has new screen sharing settings (a good thing) when this information is never provided? There is no "Undo" in a meeting, so any little errors quickly inflate into cascading failures.

  • movito Fredrik Matheson (@movito) reported

@dmitryn Sadly, the successful candidate will also have to have sufficient org chops to get the fix pushed into production. There’s probably a bunch of people on the @MicrosoftTeams video experience team arguing about this as we speak. **** is the source of truth, not ideas and plans.

  • JensHMadsen Jens Madsen 🇩🇰🇺🇸 (@JensHMadsen) reported

@randychapman @JohnACook @MicrosoftTeams It's kinda upside down these days, it used to be PowerShell first and then in the GUI. I guess for some features that still applies, but it's a little all over the place...

  • vingar Vinish Garg (@vingar) reported

@movito @MicrosoftTeams Design system cannot fix the people problem.

  • vaticdart Paul ResistStringTheory (@vaticdart) reported from Seattle, Washington

@anotheruiguy @MicrosoftTeams You mean app switching to Teams in macOS and actually having it switch Spaces as well? There’s a lot of complaints about it, and more than one open bug ticket, but no effort on @MicrosoftTeams to fix it.

  • kyrreolsen87 Kyrre Olsen (@kyrreolsen87) reported

@MicrosoftTeams we have an issue where deleted channels are not clearing out at all and now we have a Team that we can’t use. We’ve had a case open for a while and they have basically said they can’t help. Can you assist at all?

  • g7breath lima ♡༄ (@g7breath) reported

I CVANT ****** SUBMIT ITTTTT @microsoftteams DO UR FCKING JOB AND FIX YOUR APP.

  • AlexArmantoFtin ᴮᴱ sᴘɪʀᴇᴀ⁷ (@AlexArmantoFtin) reported

@MicrosoftTeams pls fix your app. i can't join my math class(fav subject) bc of you!!! it says that "app_not_configured_for_user" and now i just miss my class. ugh, bad service🤬

  • pBharatam Bharatam (@pBharatam) reported

@MicrosoftTeams Gmeet or zoom will work on my large tv. Teams gives video but voice out of computer. Tried all combinations its not working. Can you help?

  • AGroenne Anders Grønne (@AGroenne) reported

@movito @jmspool @MicrosoftTeams To me you’re missing the biggest issue here. Why is this screen even here? Who changes devices from call to call? P.S. Have you tried using Teams with a gamer headset? Teams can’t decide whether it is a voice call application or not.

  • theredcuber Aaron Junker (@theredcuber) reported

@tylerborja @MicrosoftTeams Please file a issue on GitHub. We're not aware of this issue

  • martsjourney Martina (@martsjourney) reported

@MicrosoftTeams please please please fix the issue with mac book pro users not being able to use the app version. I am a nursing student and all my lectures are on line. I need the gallery view feature which I can not access #help

  • emsypickle Emma (@emsypickle) reported

Hi @MicrosoftTeams can you use a personal Teams account on a laptop? It keep directing me to use Skype when I try to login but works on mobile? thanks

  • marcoscheel Marco Scheel (@marcoscheel) reported

@MSFT365Status Some of my customers are impacted by the current @MicrosoftTeams incident TM235950. Problems: Could not join meeting. Could not share screen. Screensharing stopped for some attendees. #MondayMorning

  • Trouffman Trouffman (@Trouffman) reported

@Microsoft @MicrosoftTeams you REALLY need to fix these forced sign-in & cross tenant issues when moving from free to paid services. This is plain unacceptable and the worse looking UX for new paying customers (Got a lot of client with the same problem)

  • DomKent Dominic Kent (@DomKent) reported

@tomarbuthnot @MicrosoftTeams So, it's just my free account where it's not working. Same issue across browser, mobile, and desktop. Paid account works fine. Perhaps Microsoft has quietly made that a paid only feature?

  • tomarbuthnot Tom Arbuthnot (@tomarbuthnot) reported

@DomKent @MicrosoftTeams Heard this from someone else today. Can you try in a browser to rule out electron issue?

  • movito Fredrik Matheson (@movito) reported

@NathanFGao @MicrosoftTeams The problem, again, is that you can’t select the actual source in this view, and that the conduits for reaching these settings, are hidden behind tiny, outlined, low-contrast, non-obvious icons (which badly breaks Fitts’s law)

  • br0g_RE Brian Rogalski ☂️🧢☂️ #MATH, it’s so simple. (@br0g_RE) reported

@MicrosoftTeams clearly Microsoft doesn’t know how to balance business functionality and security, a simple thing like connecting to a smtp server they can’t do right... no wonder everyone hates outlook. Waste of time and money, just use google or zoom.

  • neilchurcher Neil Churcher (@neilchurcher) reported

@jeffsussna @movito @MicrosoftTeams The ergonomic parameters of Fitts Law can be seen as UI issues. The consequences of poor scaling and distance on cognition during use can be seen as a UX issue IMO....

  • brianarn Brian Sinclair (@brianarn) reported

@movito @MicrosoftTeams As a developer who isn’t too familiar with Fitt’s Law, who read the definition and still doesn’t see it, but would like to understand the issue here, can you explain? The rest of the thread is fairly clear, but I don’t feel like I see the issue you’re trying to point out.
