Nationwide customer service was good years ago. Do I want to open an account with a bank that is so difficult to contact? You guess.....

Restricting access to online banking unless I answer a load of invasive questions, some of which I cannot answer due to not being psychic is a huge stresser and a great way to have me terminate my 40 year old account. Chris (@Sparky2504) reported@AskNationwide This is exactly why I’ve now taken my 3 accounts to NatWest. Nationwide are so behind with the times with their procedures & systems. NatWest can usually fix everything online without having to call them. People don’t have time to call companies & wait on hold for ages anymore!

Chrismit (@RadiationSloth) reported@AskNationwide if we call your frais helpline after a dodgy transaction is picked up, as you request, there is a long wait. Fair enough. Why do you cut us off after 13 minutes on hold? How do i get through to sort out the problem without you cutting me off?
