However, I am paying over 800 quid a month in rent, and have been for a good few years, which surely demonstrates I can afford the repayments? Perhaps reevaluate your mortgage eligibility criteria to help the many people like ourselves?

The person she talked to on the chat service was unhelpful given she was already trying to lodge a complaint. Will have another go this morning, I'll report back
