Gregor Martin (@Gregorjm21) reported@angelauk1900 @JohnCon72636524 @cplbobhatch RBS left Scotland in the 2008 financial crisis. They are just making these comments as they're instructed to by England. Natwest groups profits are down like 15% they are just going to be making cuts😬

Patrick Rice FCMI - #StayHomeSaveLives (@Patrick_Rice) reported@imaginecurve @SamsungUK @NatWest_Help So there's a kind of workaround? I add existing Curve to traditional Samsung Pay Wallet, and then add my NatWest to Curve..? I'll give it a try, but that just reinforces my first post of "messy", not detract from it. Will you fix Samsung Pay+ access for existing customers soon?

DaveG (@dave_g2112) reported@jpm287 @Glass57Graeme @mgoldenmsp Natwest Group has its majority customer base in England, RBS still exists though as a producer of bank notes and signs on cash machines in Scotland. They won't be leaving, unfortunately.
-
Combined Arts (@ArtsCombined) reported@IndigoFast And the fact RBS doesn't even exist any longer. It's NatWest 100% all the way down. They only keep the RBS high street brand. It's a liability, not an asset.

TTRRNICK (@TTRRNICK) reported@NatWest_Help I used the service at Christmas and waited 3 weeks before I contacted the bank to chase. My elderly grandfather put the wrong initial on. Instead of contacting me, I had to do the leg work.I won’t be using that service. NatWest are lining their pockets whilst communities suffer.

steve kane (@kane90) reported@jpm287 @Glass57Graeme @mgoldenmsp Its all in a name, changing all 2m Scottish RBS customer accounts etc, to Natwest would cost a fortune, never mind the circa 50% or 1m or so Scots customers who would leave because of the switch. Good luck with the marketing.
-
Ken MacKenzie (@Archaina) reported@Mislein That boat has sailed. Since 2019 RBS is wholly owned by London registered NatWest. RBS is purely a brand. What is at issue here is 6000 HQ jobs at Gogarburn, and the registered head office for tax purposes, currently Edinburgh.
-
jan (@Jintyf) reported@AlanYounger6 @ChannelUK1 There is no Scottish owned banks anymore. BOS is Lloyds Banking Group RBS is Natwest and rationale for moving south if independence happens is , majority of their customer base are south of the border. Makes sense tbh Clydesdale is now Virgin Money

research@superpositioning (@researchsuperp1) reportedNatWest will move its headquarters out of Scotland after 294 years if the country becomes independent, CEO Ms Rose said. It is simply too big for the Scottish economy to support. NatWest (Royal Bank of Scotland) holds £770bn assets, almost five times Scotland's GDP. Telegraph

Terry Aston 🏴🌸 (@tesa1945) reported@johnredwood What plans for the removal of civil service departments to other parts of the UK. NatWest have said they will move their headquarters to England. What are the SNP's plans when financial companies move to England? They can't sell finance in one country without a head office there
