@AskNationwide @LORDRCH_ Its absolutely appauling!!!! To keep saying “ASAP” is totally unacceptable. These are the fundamental, basic functions of a bank. Go to Natwest. I left Nationwide a few months ago. Best decision. My husband is having this stupid issue today with NW!

@RichardBurgon Not very good advice from HMRC non executive to scrutinise issues like this: National Westminster Bank Plc (NatWest) was today fined £264,772,619.95 following convictions for three offences of failing to comply with money laundering regulations.

@JDeaco Job description: we don't have any customers, reckon you can find some? So I learnt an awful lot very quickly. Being sat in the room with the founders heard and saw far more than you'd ever do working for BT, Boots or Natwest at that level of the business.

@kellyw2094 @APxx77 @AskNationwide When RBS's payment system went down in 2012 Natwest customers had to wait 4 weeks to access their accounts again. Nationwide have a much newer system. So should only take days. Still not great

@EvanEdinger I know this doesn't help you but Natwest were great when I closed my HTB ISA. They knew I had to complete it quickly so they prioritised it and I had the closure/certificate within an hour! Took 5 mins on the phone.

@Kelly_Jackson88 FirstDirect or Barclays, never had a problem with either. Avoid Natwest at all costs.

@NatWest_Help Thanks. We’ve tried that and have been on the phone to them this morning. Still waiting for a call back from the person who made the decision as to why and what can NatWest do to resolve the issue.

@WSJ Fine less than profits from manipulation, but also, lets not forget the other side of the fine, the regulators. Lets review: - NatWest makes money. - Regulators make money. - Regulators have no incentive to permanently shut down a source of income. Why and how would this stop?

@APxx77 @DJ_MICKYT @AskNationwide It’s crazy, I spoke to natwest where I sent the money from, their timescale is 24 working days if I want to claim it back. I can’t afford to be so much money down at Christmas. It’s a joke!
