@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK Years ago, banks prided themselves on great customer service, not any more. Now having customers at arms length is not enough and their focus is on their investors rather than the customer. I have been with NatWest since 1986 and have always felt valued.

@alexisconran @channel5_tv Very useful information. But I’m still confused about how the scammer got entry to the banking app with just an OTP code. NatWest require entry of customer number, PIN and passcode. I will now use a Sim PIN but réalisé it needs entry whenever the phone is restarted.

@virginmedia Why on earth do I need to speak to someone in Mauritius for an internet service in the UK? The same thing brought the downfall of NatWest more than 10 years ago! I upgraded on Jan 11th and I was sent a new contract and no one seems to be aware of it?

@fierce_content I use FreeAgent for what you've described above and I was able to submit my self assessment through the FreeAgent site itself, which was handy. Haven't used Xero so can't compare. FreeAgent is free through my banking (NatWest).
