Credit where it is due. Samantha at Natwest got it sorted and compensated me for the problems. Well done to her. @NatWest_Help should be grateful. @AskNationwide the ball is in your court to keep me as a customer.

Just nipping out to the local NatWest with a couple of hundred millions pounds of profit from my ******* cartel. I hope I'm still in time for a service wash.

@MartinSLewis @bbc5live Easily over a million. But like a few on here worked in a bank and it was a big branch with a large safe. Once had a customer insist on closing their account and taking the cash with them. They walked out into the High Street with a quarter million in NatWest carrier bags.

@GreenPartyMolly This is the same NatWest that makes it almost impossible for disabled people to access their own accounts - blaming 'money laundering legislation' for demanding a housebound woman walks 7 miles to a branch for in-person verification?!

@jameshurley I think NatWest has admitted a failure to conduct customer due diligence and ongoing monitoring. This does not necessarily imply the customer in question was acting unlawfully.

@BBCNews @NatWestGroup has issues adhering to its own policies, so I am not surprised by the news. I wouldn't surprise me if there were more issue with NatWest that are yet to come out
