NatWest can afford to keep branches open for those who want access across Wales. Their profits in the 51% publicly-owned bank for last year amounted to almost £4.3BN. They distributed £3.8BN to shareholders. Their (in their words, restrained!) bonus pool this year is £298M.

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I had the same experience with NatWest rude unhelpful staff 2hrs on the phone passed to 5 different staff 3 different departments and they still wouldn't help my 83 yr old dad with with a very basic request ! Yet they make billions #natwest @NatWest_Help

**** natwest **** everyone who works at natwest I finally found the ***** to call in and ask what's going on with my vanished money, it was fine until I mentioned I'm homeless and asked if there's anything I can do to get that back and the absolute ****** hung up on me

@mouthwaite @HSBC_UK I banked with them for years in fact i was a midland bank customer when HSBC bought it out I had a savers account which they recently closed I tried to open a current account and it was so hard to it was like they didn’t know who I was I went to @NatWest and open one in minutes!
