@bbcquestiontime @BBCOne I'm simply noy buying this. I've just done a price comparison with NatWest. using the same deposit and value we purchased our first house. It used to cost us £950, it would now be £1013. It's not awful, yet.

@therevdrich @NatWest_Help Dont know about natwest but the call centre I work in the "Call back" is just the robot tries to call you when the queue goes down, but if it increases it just calls you right away. And you just go in the queue as normal

@skip_tremaine @santanderukhelp @Amandajhall64 Well said - it’s shocking isn’t it and there seems to be no options at all. I have reported this to the financial ombudsman as funnily enough Barclays and NatWest aren’t having these issues.

@razlou @MartinSLewis Got offered a similar switching deal from NatWest where they said the new rate would have been effective immediately. With Lloyds instead you can fix the rates (with a new mortgage offer) and start it in February.

Can’t fault #NatWest @NatWest_Help customer service when I eventually got through. The current situation nor wait times are the fault of staff.

@GreatJessUK @NatWest_Help Had the same issue, had to wait 2 months for an appointment because was a 2 part mortgage. NatWest should pay the difference in interest rates as this delays they are their own fault for not automating things online.
