@NOWHelpTeam I found out the problem. I am using pi.hole to block ads. It seems the nowtv app loads up an ad server on load. If it fails it gives up and doesn’t load anything. If I disable the blocker for 10 seconds everything works fine. I think this needs to be filed as a bug report!

NowTV app implementation is terrible, when casting it's resource heavy on the device casting, on Roku very slow and if swapping viewing devices it forgets that you've stopped watching on the other device. Definitely cancelling when offer finishes/Succession ends.

oh for actual effing sake: the latest version of the NowTV app isn't compatible with a Chromebook. And you can't watch in the browser. It is by some distance the very worst streaming experience

So - wait, even if I pay money to subscribe to NowTV, the streaming platform with the worst possible UX in the world, I *still* have to watch 30 seconds of adverts before a programme???

@katebevan It's awful. If we start a show on my iPad then move to the kids' it doesn't register we're halfway thru, and I can't login via the TV because my BTVision & NowTV emails are different. The whole thing is designed by someone who doesn't understand how streaming works

@NOWTV I can’t remove devices? Following your help articles was actually no help at all. I’be had to cancel my membership because I can’t remove a device. Literally non-existent customer service. I’m taking to Twitter as a last resort. Any chance I can speak to a real person?

@NOWHelpTeam Please help with a NowTV Player bug for laptop. Player launches for a few seconds then crashes/shuts down. Tried reinstalling, clearing cookies/cache, different browsers and all the advice from the community pages. It looks like this is a very common problem. (1/2)
