Very disappointed in @OriginBroadband upselling me into a 18 month contract just a month ago then following it up with a swift price hike. A very shady move. Only took six months to go from a sure-thing to never-again. Ofcom here I come?

  • DerekWe51929279 Derek Weeks (@DerekWe51929279) reported

@OriginBroadband “keeping it simple” of course it’s so simple you hike up the price and make a bad service even worse. All staff are now in the complaints department.

  • jls1080 Jess Smith (@jls1080) reported

@OriginBroadband hi I have tried the chat facility on your website regarding broadband down issue, waited for 10 mins no reply, can anyone please tell me if there is a problem in my area yo16 postcode.. thanks

  • jacobrien55 jac (@jacobrien55) reported

@OriginBroadband Thanks but I've now managed to contact customer services

  • tobybrxl Toby #FBPE (@tobybrxl) reported

@OriginBroadband Just received an email saying you'll be increasing my fixed term broadband prices by 3.9% + CPI. I'm assuming its OK to cancel my contract without penalty? Getting no response from the web chat

  • Minimem8 Minimem8 (@Minimem8) reported

Still no reply to the complaint I raised on Friday. @OriginBroadband continue to ignore @Ofcom guidelines related to fixed-term contracts. Ts&Cs state "monthly rolling contracts" can increase in price, nothing regarding fixed-term contracts. Disgraceful company and support.

  • flyerbetic Mike Dunning (@flyerbetic) reported

@OriginBroadban1 @OriginBroadband I did finally get a member of staff who was great. Unfortunately she didn’t have the tools to help and I will be leaving after helping support your start up. Shame on you your company for letting their staff and customers down.

  • Minimem8 Minimem8 (@Minimem8) reported

@OriginBroadband @davidjbodman You are not, I am not on a rolling contract, I am on a fixed term contract. Ofcom guidelines clearly state I should have the option to cancel without penalty. Are you saying the Origin are doing that?

  • davidjbodman David Bodman (@davidjbodman) reported

@tobybrxl @OriginBroadband They are allowed by Ofcom if they are written into "Terms of Service". @OriginBroadband have not given themselves provision to do this, so it is breach of contract

  • OriginBroadban1 OriginBroadbandComplaints (@OriginBroadban1) reported

@djlowry @OriginBroadband lots of others have complained are the same thing and are now leaving as they are breaking their contract with the customer which clearly states price rises only for rolling contracts not fixed terms
