@OriginBroadband - What happened today, all US connections went offline, I was still connected to CERN fortunately but I was taking a 10 minute break when my backgammon connection died, downdetector was offline for the same reason and your own site was down?? UK?.

  • m_imnk Maria (@m_imnk) reported

Be very careful with @OriginBroadband . I switched to another company, as Origin couldn’t provide me with the service I needed when I moved, and now they are denying me access to my account so that I’m not able to send the final bill to the company I switched to. They’re a trap.

  • dangrenfell ᴰᴶ (@dangrenfell) reported

@lmgrenfell I’m so sorry to hear that, I thought you’d managed to cancel? They are @OriginBroadband on Twitter and might respond here?

  • danielnelson89 Daniel Nelson (@danielnelson89) reported

@OriginBroadband yeah im gonna need a refund for the year of service that you haven't provided. And also your staff are so rude and smug they need knocked down a peg or two. Worst customer service I've ever come across. You are an absolute rip off. So get intouch about my refund

  • India_Mckenzie India McKenzie (@India_Mckenzie) reported

@OriginBroadband My internet connection keeps dropping out. I called someone about this a few weeks ago, and it seemed to be fixed. Now it is telling me there is a problem with the ‘DNS Server’? It is unable to connect?

  • MrTClayts Tom Clayton (@MrTClayts) reported

@JackTheL4d @abbeylinegold @OriginBroadband I've been on their website and it says 18 month term right below the price. Nevertheless it's obviously a pandemic led situation that, I agree, you shouldn't be liable for as a student. Surely there must be support to cover this that you can claim from Govt or University?

  • Schmell_DeCoffe Wake UP! and smell the Coffee (@Schmell_DeCoffe) reported

@MisterBloggs @OriginBroadband Make sure you keep copies of all web chats, twitter feeds etc. It is not unknown for the customer to cancel install and they just go ahead and slam your line anyway and say you never cancelled, also recorded phone calls go missing as often as their infamous refund cheques!

  • e8Callum e8Callum (@e8Callum) reported

@OriginBroadband is horrible, avoid at all costs. They decided to try and take broadband out for me without my consent, I took TV and they added broadband... Now they're trying to charge me £300? Cowboys. OFCOM will be notified.

  • MrTClayts Tom Clayton (@MrTClayts) reported

@JackTheL4d @abbeylinegold @OriginBroadband I wasn't referring to the 5400 page document. It will have been right next to the price when you signed up. It's not really the fault of the service provider. If its as a result of Covid then can't you apply for a grant and/or support from the Govt or University?

  • Chutzpah84 Robert W (@Chutzpah84) reported

Was considering @OriginBroadband as part of my 'ditch @talktalk' but their sales rep refused to answer a simple question about which wholesale provider they use. @zeninternet maybe then? At least I'll know they use BTW at my exchange and the customer service should be solid
