Tend to avoid now but just left again after a couple of years of thankfully issue free broadband. Moved to PlusNet which is Openreach rebranded but far cheaper.

Wessex Wyvern (@WessexWy) reported@BasilTheGreat It's worse, if you have BT, EE, or Plusnet broadband with their router, part of YOUR bandwidth & electricity is used to help provide THEIR public WiFi network. (It's hidden in the Ts & Cs but you can opt out in your account settings)

We live in a rural part of Britain with only option plusnet or talktalk using the same sluggish speed/lines. Starlink set arrived the next day, took 10 minutes to set up / much faster and no contract. For RURAL parts it’s best

I know you own the network and I believe you do all BT-related updates, but do you allow other broadband providers to do their own updates on it?

Paul Kennedy (@paulx1v) reported@Plusnet just been informed by Openreach that it will be another six weeks before they can connect us to the full fibre network. Not particularly happy with that, anything you can do to help?
