  • gceccles Graham Eccles (@gceccles) reported

Hey @plusnet and @Screwfix Have you two fallen out? Can’t load the @Screwfix website. Worked fine a couple of weeks ago. Various on-line forums say it’s a DNS server issue between the two of you. Any suggestions?

  • Sarah_RedMeeple Sarah (@Sarah_RedMeeple) reported

So let's be clear here. If you work from home, run your own business, etc- don't use @Plusnet. Their small print absolves them from covering costs directly incurred as a result of them not delivering the 'no break in service' advised by their staff - 7 days and counting so far.

  • pemlife Nicola (@pemlife) reported

@Sarah_RedMeeple @Plusnet Same. We got told an external engineer was needed as the issue was at the exchange box, so we wouldn't need to be here. Luckily we were in as the engineer turned up at ours. But I had to call to check as online just showed 'engineer requested' with no date/time.

  • HodmanJohn John Hodman (@HodmanJohn) reported

@Plusnet Thanks Adam, will try that. However, the question is how did these sim numbers ended up with Chinese spammers before they were even active. On your forums there are many people experiencing the same issue.

  • Jacdee2017 Jac2017 (@Jacdee2017) reported

@Plusnet Plusnet has the worse customer service ever, they all apologise that no-one has got back or provided an update, then do the same! Plusnet has not fulfilled contract I signed up to, but won’t let me leave!

  • HoldenMadickie Holden (@HoldenMadickie) reported

@Plusnet Can I strongly recommend you suggest that people trying to sign up with you DISABLE ADBLOCK first? It blocked a pop-up about the internet filter (the one I had already opted out of) which seemingly guaranted the entire process to fail.

  • IanMarsh70 Ian Marsh (@IanMarsh70) reported

@Jacdee2017 @Plusnet Had the same issue with this provider, @Plusnet they say one thing then do nothing. You have to badger them until they sort it out

  • pemlife Nicola (@pemlife) reported

@Sarah_RedMeeple @Plusnet I got £8.40 for mine being out for 4 days. I spent £30 in that time on extra data. (Not plus net) Also to add insult an engineer turned up on day 2, started looking at the issue and then packed up and left as he realised he should have been next door.

  • Screwfix Screwfix (@Screwfix) reported

@gceccles @Plusnet @ToolstationUK Hello Graham, I can confirm that our website team are liaising with Plusnet to resolve this. In the meantime, we would advise you contact them to arrange that this is unblocked, or call our customer service team who would be happy to take your order over the phone. - Caitlin

@pemlife @Plusnet LOL that sounds about right.. I actually understand service problems, they happen, but less so companies making huge profits that wash their hands of direct financial / employment impact on their customers because 'you signed the small print'.
