  • jmarks1970 John Marks (@jmarks1970) reported

@Plusnet I have just been advised that Plusnet does not support short codes for SMS, which is what my bank uses to authenticate. Please can you tell me if this will be supported and when?

  • CultofMorbius Grant (@CultofMorbius) reported

@pipmadeley @Plusnet Sounds like a similar issue I had. Started periodically and then got worse. Plusnet eventually came out and had to swap my line over. I was told it was something to do with the old underground lines. Fingers crossed 🤞

  • pipmadeley Pip (@pipmadeley) reported

@Plusnet Hi Mark, I appreciate the reply but I've already got an open support ticket on your system awaiting an advisor to respond so would rather not complicate matters. They have all the details/event log info. Pip - In Manchester

  • therealdrcj Clare Jones (@therealdrcj) reported

@Plusnet - I’m not the happiest customer as my broadband has not been reliable. However, I’d like to give credit to Abdul who dealt with my issue today - he listened, empathised, suggested a solution then carefully talked me through the process. I felt valued. Hope it works!

  • Daemar1 Lee James (@Daemar1) reported

@pipmadeley @Plusnet Wi fi? My friend had this . It was the baby monitor. Changed the frequency and the issue stopped.

  • TomABacon Tom Bacon (@TomABacon) reported

@pipmadeley @Plusnet This is going to sound weird, but I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be related to my Sky Q box going to sleep! Had to change those settings. (I'm still working at 1am so it was most inconvenient...)

  • pipmadeley Pip (@pipmadeley) reported

@nptweetings Yeah, they tested the line during the day (of course they knew the issue was at night so unlikely to find anything). Have asked Plusnet this morning for Openreach to investigate 👍

  • mostly_sleepy Kat (@mostly_sleepy) reported

@pipmadeley @Plusnet Try setting all your devices to static IPs (will be in DHCP in the router settings), that solved a very similar-sounding problem my printer/laptops-talking-to-printer and FireTV had on my network.

  • DemonTomatoDave Dave Bulmer DemonTomatoDave#5138 (@DemonTomatoDave) reported

@gogolitzen @EE What did they tell you? Plusnet texted me to say they're expecting to fix it at about 3:20pm - whether that's when they expect it to come back up or when they'll take initial stock of what the problem is and then work out what to do with it, I don't know

  • nptweetings Dan Ludlow (@nptweetings) reported

@pipmadeley It smells like a line synchronisation issue or a loose connection somewhere (lower overnight temperatures). Did Openreach get called out, or did Plusnet just run a line test during the day?
