PlusNet is useless. And I mean useless. New router and has failed us. £40 a month for a service that is not fit for purpose. Should have gone StarLink.

@DrChrisParry @sky Plusnet Chris, they're brilliant. I've been with them for years. I never have cause to call them but if I'm sorting out an upgrade or renewing my contract, a real person answers the phone promptly and are very efficient

  • sweynseyeeye sweynseye (@sweynseyeeye) reported

@Plusnet "We have a security system that randomly generates which characters to ask and allows us to only check those two." That's the problem though. How does this security system know the plain text characters? Different characters are asked of me each time.

@dshensmith In the long list of crappy internet service providers virgin trawls the depths alongside the likes of EE, Plusnet & TalkTalk. If you want a service that just works & you also want proper UK based technical support & customer service when it doesn’t then the field is very small.

@MartinSLewis My sister in Glasgow was with Plusnet they never haggled about the price she's now with Hyperoptic for £25 a month she gets 1GB hyper fast download speed against 65 megabytes download speeds of Plusnet and they were charging £36 a month for old phone line technology

@MartinSLewis I've had a bank account with Lloyds for over 30 years. Had others with other banks, but this one is the oldest. Probably because it's free and out of apathy I've never closed it. Longest commitment to a supplier of a service is broadband, plusnet for around 25 years.

Is PlusNet down in North West London?

  • BagladyM Maureen Grayson #RejoinEU (@BagladyM) reported

@npje @TalkTalk They left me without Internet for 13 days!!! Blamed my old router initially and refused to send an engineer. When Open Reach turned up (5 days later), a fault at the exchange was identified. This 'fault' was never rectified! Switched to @Plusnet. Internet restored in 5 seconds!
