@faisalislam Dreadful episode and there MUST be a public enquiry for these poor people. Someone MUST be responsible? It’s almost vindictive how the @PostOffice treated these people? Feel so sorry for them all, seeing their stories on the news. #PostOfficeScandal

I recall that after Royal Mail was privatised & sold off , the #PostOffice business model was fattened up to be sold off too. Seems their fancy new systems didn't work, but that would have got in the way of privatisation, so no problem, throw the people under a bus.

@PostOfficeNews @PostOffice Listening to Radio 4 and the news, the Post Office still pursued the Postmasters even when senior managers knew, there where significant problems. You only admitted it when the courts called you out. From 2013 you held info. And denied everything. No one believes you.

The Post Office scandal is off the scale - accused by their employer of fraud because the employers computer system was flawed, the employer pursued them to prison & refused to admit any problems for years. What a shameful organisation @PostOffice is

@robin2036 @PostOffice Why oppose Limb 2 then? Their ignorance knows no bounds. After multiple savage, public beatings at every juncture of this whole debacle these guys still think the public are stupid. Grow up, take the losses, do the right thing NOW and learn, ACTUALLY LEARN.

@pjm1kbw @PostOffice Are they going to be able to get significant compensation? These people should, at the very least, never have to worry about money again for them or their families. Should be seven figures minimum for every one

@deborahbonham @PostOffice Some large organisations are like a huge ship that is very slow to change course. I hope they uncover just what happened and who tried to bury the truth in self interest! Poor Post Masters. May compensation occur rapidly and help to heal

@PostOfficeNews @PostOffice You've wasted over a decade & had to be forced by the courts to make this right. What rank moral core allows this to happen? When the problem was identified, why didn't you simply expidite paying back everyone & facilitated their exhortation?

@grogs0n @PostOffice Do you know, I like that idea... A dedicated email address, small old pc and printer, a nominal fee covering cost of ink and paper... I'm going to look into offering such a service at my PO. I think that could work well... Thank you for the suggestion.

Remember the #PostOffice scandal happened with active participation & support from various Tory govts. Post Office is state owned with government representation on its board directing the cover up & prosecutions. Expect government push back for a public inquiry. #BorisJohnson
