@MorganBroadcast Charlotte, appalling ‘Customer Service’ from @santanderuk and @VirginActiveUK. I feel for you, please contact their CEOs, look to see if you have any legal cover with insurance and contact Financial Ombudsman once you have the written info. Two companies I will never use. x

@MorganBroadcast @Sorrelish **** me! That sounds horrendous. Definitely sounds like an inside job too. @santanderuk are also doing as much as possible to get out of paying you back. The PIN was got from their app! I really really hope you keep fighting & get every penny back!

@helengrantsays @santanderuk I know it was her card PIN, and you have to go through a lot of security hoops to change a PIN even if you get into the banking app, which you need the login details for. I'm not defending the bank at all, I agree they've screwed up, but some of this doesn't make sense.

@MorganBroadcast Really disgusted and shocked to read this. @santanderuk are truly shocking. I’ve been waiting 2 years for them to investigate fraudulent activity on my account, meanwhile leaving me no access to a bank account and blacklisted from opening another. It’s farcical.

@bethanyrutter @santanderuk You have to be logged in to the banking app to view your pin. So if a criminal can see it, they're also already in a position to transfer your entire balance to another account. But the fact that these people managed to unlock the phone *and* access the banking app is terrifying.

@MorganBroadcast Had similar awful experience with @santanderuk Crooks booked flights out the country. Surely easy to catch culprits - passports, airport CCTV? Cheaper just to let banks pay out was response… Months later, closed account and moved to @firstdirect

@helengrantsays @santanderuk I feel sorry for her, but there's a major hole in this story. How did they get her pin code? It had to have been somewhere in her bag or on her phone. She claims it wasn't written down, but if it was in her phone somewhere that's the same thing. Many people put it in there.
