Maureen Myant (@maureenmyant) reported@MorganBroadcast Thank you so much for posting this. I hope you get some justice. This is a horrifying story. I had been considering moving account to @santanderuk but I won't now. Nor will I use a banking app. Terrible lapse by your gym too.

Ali (@sarcastic_ali) reported@Sue_Pook @santanderuk If it helps I'm with Nationwide. They are constantly checking I'm me even with the regular monthly stuff. It's usually via the phone app though, so I'm not sure it would have helped here. But app access is locked to fingerprint/PIN that is different to the card PIN?
-
John Latchford (@JohnLatchford) reported@MorganBroadcast Yet again a bank @santanderuk proves itself incapable of the simplest of tasks - like ringing the correct number when you have had your phone stolen. Why do they get away with the pathetic level of service.
-
Jason💙 (@JasonTheHH) reported@MorganBroadcast That’s truly awful. @santanderuk needs evidence that you compromised your own PIN security. Sounds very unlikely that you did! Note: is there a way for a thief to have a PIN reset sent to your phone (& was this done?), or even to remind you of your PIN in the App? (Some apps do)

Bee Barrett (@sceneset) reported@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk This is awful Charlotte! Not sure whether this will help but there is a Direct Debit Indemnity claim, One aspect of this is the Direct Debit Guarantee where customers can claim money back immediately via their bank if a collection error is made!

(((Fran Lewis))) Lady Lewis of Laffak (@iverlean) reported@annettesjl @santanderuk @santanderuk You are seriously making me consider my options - I have been a customer a long time, but this really makes me want to move my account!
-
Rebecca Roberts (@beckylj_roberts) reported@MorganBroadcast Charlotte, I don’t know you but this is absolutely awful and my heart goes out to you. I will be advising my three kids to look at other banks ASAP. I really hope you manage to get this resolved and @santanderuk and @VirginActiveUK start to take some responsibility. Take care x

Harriet - a human. 💚💜🤍 (@BippetyBoop) reported@drclairetaylor @santanderuk @bancosantander Utterly pants and somewhat bizarre. Even with my basic knowledge of IT security, having access to the PIN like that is totally bonkers.
-
Jac (@viewfromhome147) reported@MorganBroadcast How awful for you! And for it to happen to someone who has applied all the rules around pins and passwords is kinda scary. @VirginActiveUK and @santanderuk should be ashamed of themselves. They should be doing everything to help you and prevent this from happening to others

Billy Martin (@thistle5460) reported@MorganBroadcast Had similar awful experience with @santanderuk Crooks booked flights out the country. Surely easy to catch culprits - passports, airport CCTV? Cheaper just to let banks pay out was response… Months later, closed account and moved to @firstdirect
