@agegarton @MorganBroadcast @santanderuk You can't make a formal complaint to the Ombudsman until 8 weeks have passed and you've had a letter from the company (Santander) to say the problem cannot be resolved. Once the Ombudsman takes it on and comes to a decision, that decision is final and you cannot raise it again.

@santanderuk We would like you to be pleased to help @MorganBroadcast ! Her money was stolen because of your poor security measures! Her pin was accessible within your app! There's no transparency, your strategy is poor, and your performance feels the same.

  • Soniajones1969 Sonia Jones (@Soniajones1969) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk This is terrible. I am so sorry this happened. I was planning to move to @santanderuk I won’t now.

  • J1M80_M3D James Medley ⚡️ (@J1M80_M3D) reported

@MorganBroadcast That sounds terrible I won’t be using @santanderuk in the future. My building society blocked my card when I tried to buy £250 of crypto once, I hope they would do the same if larger amounts of money were spent at any high street shop

@EwanToo @santanderuk Sounds like @santanderuk seriously sucks here. Banks have a fund for this type of thing. It's essential for banks to maintain trust in the electronic payment ecosystem or their whole model falls down & to do this thefts like this need to be quickly refunded with minimum publicity

@MorganBroadcast Charlotte, I'm so sorry - what a devastating experience. Don't give up - @santanderuk have treated you abominably and they mustn't be allowed to get away with it. I suggest you contact BBC Radio 4 @Moneybox - they have investigated a lot a fraud and might be able to help.

@MorganBroadcast Oh My God! This is so awful. This could happen to anyone and @santanderuk are acting terribly. I hope you get your money back and move banks!!! Can highly recommend @monzo x

@MorganBroadcast The sad thing is it shouldn’t take a Twitter storm for @santanderuk to do the right thing. Not everyone is tech literate. They should have done the right thing straightaway for you and for all customers who face this issue. It makes me angry and nervous as another customer.

  • Chr1sWynne Chris Wynne (@Chr1sWynne) reported from Portrush, Northern Ireland

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk Oh dear, sorry to hear this. I'd imagine if they have been able to access your mobile banking they have gotten the PIN from there for your card?

  • jeffefc1878 J (@jeffefc1878) reported

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK I doubt this will help but As an ex-Santander employee… they’ve reset your online banking because they have access to your phone so they’ve gone “forgot log on details” entered in your card number and changing the 5 digit security number as OTP is sent to the phone 1/2
