FootFan (@mhoney1234) reported@PolitlcsUK Hey @bankofengland - time to lower the base rates so my @santanderuk stop ripping me off. Inflation at 2.8% but the banks are offering a 5.5% mortgage. The profiteering off working people in this country is abysmal.

Technicslover (@technicslover) reported@hnjsamuels @santanderuk I can't deal with them on the phone until I create a "voice password" Tried 10 times and it didn't like my Scottish accent. Closed my account and moved on. **** em.

Oasis (@Oasisrvti) reported@santanderuk customer comes first so it’s always right not at this company. They’ll just take your money and block your bank and do nothing about it for a week so if you’re thinking about opening the account for convenience, please don’t because all it’s gonna do is cause agro

William Poel (@wpoel) reported@claudelittner @santanderuk @cahoot Claude: I just got told in an email from Cahoot "Important Information - 25/05/2026 Dear MR ......... You may need to take action Please log on to your Online Banking as soon as possible. You have an important new document to read....." I haven't had contact with Cahoot for ~20 years and the task of exhuming old contact info (or anything else) is going to be vast. And if I do, 99% it will be spam or an offer to sell me something - not news of an error in my favour for £50k. Banks sending out these types of messages create a lot of hassle - and there needs to be a way of getting a fast track summary to determine if it is worth the effort.

Tyler (@Empty_With_You) reported@santanderuk For the record, you withholding MY money from me & preventing my bills from being paid isn’t an “inconvenience”. The fact that not a single notification was sent to me, nor is there anything on my account to show there’s a block makes it even worse.
-
Kris (@lookitskris) reported@santanderuk tried all of the above, this has been a recurring problem for months now
-
rhoda roberts (@adhorstrebor) reported@santanderuk when an elderly disabled housebound person needs help to get logged into your app and the nearest branch is 20 miles away, why do you not provide support to visit at home?
-
YorkshireSarah (@SarahSWFC1867) reported@MartinSLewis Two emails to @santanderuk via your website contact. No reply so posted a formal complaint as they don't seem to do online for this type of issue. Phoning is hopeless. No reply. Seems they are dealing with it by simply ignoring me. What is my next step please? Ombudsman?

Marc Smith 🦊 (@marcuspolo1981) reported@MartinSLewis Tried switching my @santanderuk current account but they always block it

Umang Mathur (@umangm888) reported@santanderuk After being defrauded, Santander has blocked my attempts to get my money back. I’m being bombarded with consistent, slickly-worded AI emails threatening me about my overdraft now. They talk about 'support' in their emails while doing the exact opposite in reality
