@PatrickNeylan @santanderuk Every single time I call my telephone banking service they push this on me. Every single time I say- nah, I like talking to people. I don't understand "apps" and I don't care! #luddite

@Neil_Buchanan @santanderuk Quite a surprising decision from the bank, most are signed up to a code that will refund fraud as long as the customer hasn't been negligent in the fraud. Can't see how her situation falls under that. Would 100% complain, wait on final response then go to Financial Ombusdman.

@sjheditor @MorganBroadcast @santanderuk My suggestion is phone Financial Ombudsman Service for advice; then send written complaint to bank/card company via recorded delivery post. If the FOS/FCA receive multiple similar complaints, they will surely take this into consideration. Card company is also probably insured.

@MorganBroadcast I think I will be looking for a new bank! @santanderuk This is terrible!

@NeilMackay78 @MorganBroadcast @santanderuk #2. It’s easy to imagine that giving up on the good fight is where these guys succeed. Lots of these fraudsters are keen to know this while they get rich off of average hard working people such as yourself. It makes me Sick to read this happening to others. #3

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK This is awful and I’m sorry this happened to you. May you nail each and every one of these bastards.

@MorganBroadcast Sadly all too common with @santanderuk - lost a wallet a couple of years back on a night out. Immediately called them to cancel. Got wallet back a week later but found the card was still working. Santander had never cancelled and paid £300 by way of apology.

  • StevieDee710 StevieDee (@StevieDee710) reported

@bberrybeth365 @santanderuk @VirginActiveUK The very fact that they have a security system in place that has failed makes them culpable in some way. Santander sounds like an awful bank to be with.

@MorganBroadcast @santanderuk I don't know what functionality the Barclays app has, but many banking apps let you check your PIN (mine does). So perhaps if they got access to your app, they got hold of your PIN through it.
